Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

The First Purge 2/8 - Giving it a 2 because of the housing project sequence towards the end. The rest of the movie was racist garbage. Skeletor was the one of the worst "villains" I've ever seen. I know there's a TV show currently but this series needs to die.

You Were Never Really Here 6.5/8 - On the edge of my couch the whole time. Reminded me of The Professional and a little bit of Taxi Driver. I can't wait to see what Joaquin Phoenix does with The Joker.

A Simple Favor was a lot of fun. Not really "good", but enjoyable. Blake is :smokin
And as damn awkward as Anna is, they were startin to show her off a little.

Wait to see Night School for free... It might be good as an ambient movie to have on playing in the background while you do housework or while you cook...

Thoroughly enjoyed Maniac. Emma is a brilliant actress. The show ended exactly how I wanted it to. They could have gone a lot of different ways so I was happy with the outcome. Now it’s time to read about all the theories and the things I missed!

i know Kimchi Papi Kimchi Papi didnt like maniac but i enjoyed it. when it ended, i was left with a smile and an optimistic feel for the day. i thought emma stone did great. i didn’t like justin theroux in the leftovers and his performance in maniac was worse.

I’d have to agree on Theroux, in part.
I thought his performances were cool on both parts, I just hated both characters, a lot.

Just saw the trailer for Bad times at the El Royale. Looks interesting, feels like a QT film.
I forget who sent the tweet but it said something like... Bad Times is like if Hateful Eight was good... Personally I really like Hateful Eight but if Bad Times is on par or better I'm happy.

Is it just me or is Netflix TRASH this year when it comes to Halloween? I swear last year they had paranorman, Sleepy hollow, nightmare before Christmas, all the Michael Myers movies, etc. this year it looks like a bunch of straight to dvd garbage and a few “Netflix originals”.

How TF is Cloverfield Paradox considered a Halloween movie?! Get your **** together Netflix. I’m finna end my streaming subscription and go straight red letter dvd status. Bringing back 2006 on they asses

Questions GURUs,

For years I have been looking for a movie that I saw when I was way young. I really cant remember much about the movie, but 1 scene has stocked in my head all these years. The scene was really graphic and I felt really disgusted and shocked.

The scene was a woman (escort) that was hired to go to a hotel and have sex with one or two dudes. When she got in the room there were multiple dudes and she felt a little uncomfortable but she went ahead to have sex with them. Then as she is having sex they bend her over AMD start anal raping her. She was crying and saying no, then all I remember her being in the shower with blood coming out her anus.

I can have the premise wrong but it went down like that.

I was with him until he said it was a sequel and Ed is the grown up Charlie

Not trying to get mind****ed.
Did you see the entire video.

He connected a lot if dots. LoL

I mean people can take inspiration from anything.

Plus a lot of movies are a basic template with fill in the blanks for story line.

But dude did a pretty good job explaining everything man.

Yeah, just finished.

Strong overall thematic connections for sure but the character connections were weak

But I want rule it out. Too wild though.

That movie scene you describe sounds familiar but I can't pin down the title. They were all white and this is like a 90s or 80s movie?

I think he did a decent to good job connecting the characters. LOL plus that oompa connection was like damn this dude might be right. LoL

In regards to the movie, yes all white and around that time era.

At first glance I was thinking Irreversible but I don't remember any shower stuff? I haven't seen that movie in a long time and it was a tough watch so... good luck?

What you mean a though watch?

I don't think that's the movie.

The one I'm talking about had the girl show up and was having a good time with the guys in the room, I think the room had a view of a city as well. But again I can be wrong. I do know it was not on a red dingy floor/hallway.
