The Knick

Oh man, Nathan For You. Overlooked gem. Same with The Knick.

I definitely considered Samurai Jack. The Boondocks just happened to cover so many things all in one.

Drama - Oz
Comedy - Curb Your Enthusiasm
Horror/Sci-Fi - Star Trek Next Generation
Anthology/Miniseries - The Twilight Zone
Animation - The Boondocks
Sitcom - The Wayans Bros
Male Lead - Luther
Female Lead - The Americans
Utility - Law & Order
Utility - Columbo

Strategy coming in to this was to pick timeless iconic shows that were also my favs and for the most part I could watch any episode at any time and enjoy it. All I've been doing this and last month most days is catching marathons of Law & Order, Star Trek TNG/DS9, Luther, and Columbo.

All my picks I can watch beginning to end with ease.

Also started ER for the first time. Man some of these characters piss me off.

Drama - Ozark
Comedy - Seinfeld
Horror/Sci-Fi - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Anthology/Miniseries - The Night Of
Animation - Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Sitcom - Married With Children
Male Lead - Better Call Saul
Female Lead - Veronica Mars
Utility - Dexter
Utility - The Walking Dead

So, strategy wise, I landed Seinfeld at 7th or 8th and still managed to land Saul + Ozark.
That's like grabbing Zeke Elliott in the first round and still getting Aaron Jones and Dalvin Cook rounds 2 and 3.
I considered Saul in Round 1, it's that great. Breaking Bad went Top 3, Saul is equally great and I got in Rd 2. :smokin

Buffy could have been my Female lead, and I might have won that category with her. I felt using her for Sci-Fi and nabbing Veronica Mars was a better 1-2 combo than Buffy + another Sci-Fi show. Kristen Bell was born to play VM.

Dexter and Walking Dead def had some down years, but they also had elite years, and we're once appointment viewing.
Trinity season is up there with any, and as for Walking........ Morgan, Rick, Carroll, Maggie, Glenn, Negan, Governor, Daryl, Michonne, Jesus, Shane, Whisperers, Wolves, Abe, Carl, Judith, Ezekial, Rosita, Talking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, this new spinoff, this show was a huge AMC icon for a long time.

The Clone Wars, just plain brilliant. Anyone that has watched those will tell you the greatness of that series. Bonus that they just added a year (which was EPIC)

Married With Children was a big Fox draw back in the day. Back when Fox had to be "edgy" to attract viewers and went Married, 90210, and The Simpsons.

Drama - Rome
Comedy - Veep
Horror/Sci-Fi - The Leftovers
Anthology/Miniseries - Chernobyl
Animation - The Simpsons
Sitcom - 30 Rock
Male Lead - Hannibal
Female Lead - Lovecraft Country
Utility - House of Cards
Utility - Rick and Morty

If we're talking strategy, out the gate I figured folks would be going at drama, male lead, comedy etc. so I went heavy on the other categories first, ie Simpsons animation, hard to beat.

I do love HBO though, unbeatable catalogue. Ya'll pretty much picked all the others, but had classics in the tuck like Dream on, Chris Rock show, Larry Sanders show, Real Sex.

can yall mail me my first place trophy. thanks.

Drama - Mr Robot

Anthology/Miniseries - American Crime Story
Animation - X-Men: The Animated Series
Sitcom - Two and a Half Men

Female Lead - Insecure

Put some damn respect on my list:

Drama - Deadwood
Comedy - The Wonder Years
Horror/Sci-Fi - Battlestar Galactica (2004)
Anthology/Miniseries - When They See Us
Animation - Hey Arnold!
Sitcom - The Office
Male Lead - Friday Night Lights
Female Lead - The Good Place
Utility - Justified
Utility - Louie

Draft went pretty smoothly for me and I got most of what planned to draft given my position.

I wanted to secure The Office for one of my comedy picks first and then knockout drama. It was between Deadwood, Friday Night Lights, and The Leftovers for me and I ended up going with the sentimental pick. I was surprised when Deadwood still fell back to me for round 3/4 since i think of it as a top 10 show of all time, but maybe i shouldn't be surprised after the Neo-Western debacle of the all time movie draft ( getback getback ). Seems westerns are underappreciated here :smh:

The one pick i really wanted was Veep for female lead. I was almost 100% sure it would fall back to me but M Mark Antony took it #2 :smh:

Anyhow, i have my favorite lists ready to go. We're sending top 3 to C CP1708 ?

They're playing reruns of History Channels "Hatfields & McCoys" on Ovation. I remember really enjoying this Miniseries alot when it came out and was surprised History Channel actually put out something this decent.
