Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Affleck needs to stay behind the camera... He's 2-for-2 on that end.

Casey's the best Affleck, though. Dude needs to work more.
I saw The Killer Inside Me recently. I didn't know if he could really carry a movie. It was awful, and really disturbing, but he was good.

I used to hate Ben, too, but he's really stepped it up the past couple of years from his usual crap:

State of Play
The Town
Extract (then again, I love Mila so yeah)

Plus Gone Baby Gone was awesome.

Make sure you watch "The Company Men" Affleck is GREAT in it

Ya'll bad mouth Ben are pissin me off. Lol, dude has a LEGIT resume. Good Will, Chasing Amy, Armageddon, Daredevil, Hollywoodland, Company Men, The Town, State of Play, directed Gone Baby, if not for that stupid $%% with JLo (in her prime mind you) nobody could say nothin bad about him. And Killer Inside Me was a car wreck I couldn't turn away from. Lol. He beat the tar outta my avy. Smh. I wonder how Gone Baby would have changed both their careers if Ben starred instead of Casey.

By the way, I screwed up and forgot that Woody Harrelson deserves a mention as one of the top actors. Not a "huge" star, but very underrated imo.

Maybe 15 years ago, CP... The biggest roles he's had in like a decade were Zombieland and Semi-Pro.

I thought he was solid in No Country. But agreed, he doesn't work enough these days. Watchin Larry Flynt right now, he was terrific.

I like him too, but it's hard to underrate someone whose last two major roles were Zombieland and Semi-Pro.

He had small roles in No Country and Seven Pounds, but he was good in both.

He was good in no country for old men and great in natural born killers. That is one twisted movie.

supposedly he was very, very good in the messenger and that's only a few years old. Movie just looks to depressing for me to watch. White men can't jump is one of my favorite movie ever.

Gene Hackman is a great actor that gets overlooked

It's on demand so I'll probably give it a viewing one of these days. Heard disturbing might even be an understatement.
I'll be on the lookout for The Company Men, just read the description on it and it sounds pretty good.

Oliver Stone ruined that movie for me (although Woody and Downey Jr. were awesome) with his pseudo art house !!*@#$+@ (just like The Doors). Wish Tarantino would've directed his script.

Gene Hackman's cool, never really watched many of his films, but I loved him in Mississippi Burning. Frances McDormand was awesome in that too.

yeah. Willam Dafoe is pretty good too. Highly recommend AntiChrist. Most disturbing movie I've seen in a very long time.

Just watched megamind because the magic suns game looked boring. I thought it was good for a kids movie. Even had some Kobe references in it.

I liked the Doors alot, but I can see why people hated it. The band members even said he made alot of stuff up and he went way overboard on how he depicted Morrison. Val Kilmer destroyed that part though

The best part about The Doors is the fact that Johnny Drama's entire role on Entourage is derived from it. Dude had me and my boy cracking up ever time the camera cut to him with his little pornstache
