Reading a Roger Evert review write after 1980 (or at all ever)should be illegal.
I swear that Man’s reviews are worded like he’s talking about the same Film every time, whatever film isn’t 12 Angry Men.
This fool has to be the embodiment of every Voter at the Academy. I mean, just go look at his top25 FILMS of all time, I think the only two films made after 1980 that he ranks in the top25 are ALIEN and A.I.(yes the Haley Osment joint).

I really enjoyed A.I. in my rewatch this passed year, but again….it’s one of the only 2 films in his top25 that was made after 1980. FOH bruh

They could have kept everything after McDeere stomped out Devasher. Once he met up with the Moroltos this movie became hokey. I have other nitpicks with the movie but the first 2 hrs were pretty entertaining but that last 25 mins were lame

Finally caught up on the the thread. I DID in fact end up watching The Firm and The Rainmaker last weekend. Different vibes but both were flames to me. I preferred The Firm because of the exciting plot even though the Rainmaker resonated with me more because of experiences I have had but that isn’t a knock on Rainmaker or Damon’s performance AT ALL. He killed that role :smokin

Just finished another law adjacent film:

Young DeNiro’s performance was excellent and I can tell it was because his character really rustled my jimmies  I hated Max Cady because he was just too elite of a villain. It was legit a 50/50 jump ball to me about how it would of end and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Forrest Gump’s (1994) soundtrack is pretty damn solid in my opinion

Was given the vinyl as a birthday present last weekend
IMO, Forrest Gump is as good as it gets in terms of use of music in a film. The songs they chose to play over certain scenes were pretty perfect throughout and really helped capture the different decades he went through.

From his Attack of the Clones review:

“But as someone who admired the freshness and energy of the earlier films, I was amazed, at the end of "Episode II," to realize that I had not heard one line of quotable, memorable dialogue.”

Guess he wasn’t paying attention…

Foxcatcher
Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Black Phone

First suggestion is what I'm watching.

After watching CONTAGION last night, I need another film with some Government or World Politics involved. No mindless fun this weekend.
