Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Convinced my wife to join me in watching all the Christopher Nolan movies in order but as part of the deal I had to watch the latest season of Love is Blind with her. I survived and we’re back on track. Knocked out Inception earlier this week and neither of us have seen it since it came out. I remember when it came out and my peers were claiming it was an instant classic. Not gonna lie, with everything being so fresh, I don’t even think it’s a top 3 Nolan movie.

Next up is Interstellar and I’m hype! It’s one of my all-time fave movies and my wife hasn’t seen it. We’ll have to knock out the remaining movies this month since Tenet is supposed to be leaving HBO at the end of the month

So I got ~60 hours in flight and layover time over the next week so I downloaded as many compelling movies as I could find on my streaming service apps before I have to deal with all that VPN ********. I think because of the movie I started with, it gave me a lot of 90s/early 00s movies. Just got off a 7-hour flight and watched two. First is a classic.

I was hella torn about this movie and it is probably because I don’t have kids but John Q was wildin  I understand his intent, why he was pissed and why he did what he did but thinking was the play was crazy. It was also because Denzel has been In so many movies on the other side of hostage negotiations where the kidnappers end up with the L

Last night I watched Alien for the first time in a while. I always get the first 2 a bit mixed up - like I think of things from the second being in the first.

They are obviously quite different but for a movie from 1979 with a small budget the OG really holds up.

not sure if you are aware but Casino was based on a true story. love how Joe Pesci's character and his brother got wasted. not that I like how they got whacked by the mafia or their own guys but if bad guys kill each other, I'm up for it.

John Q. was good but could have been better. it does tell about the state of health insurance coverage and the con, red tape, medical care, etc... of course and the fix between the hospital/doctors with the companies. as far as hostage negotiations goes, INSIDE MAN for me was better with mah man in it.

Speaking of Flights, I was on a flight back in 2002 and John Q was the movie they played. It was my first time seeing it. They used to play movies back in the day. I’m not sure what it’s like now, though. I haven’t been on a flight in years

Well you’re in luck

I have no doubt it will be just as bad if not worse. Plus since it’s a series it’ll be even longer.

Even though I love bad movies, I've never really been able to get into bad shows. It's just not the same.

way different. I remember when they were still using vhs tapes. I believe the last time I had that kind of technology or was it dvd as well was way back 2008. where we only have 2-3 tvs where everyone was glued at looking. I remember that last movie we watched on those tvs was "MAMA MIA". I had a few more flights after that and it was already different. you may not call me a frequent flyer but I had a lot of flying done in my lifetime. recent one was just last december. everything is different now. each passenger has a monitor of their own and a few selections of movies, shows, music to choose from. your monitor is just in front of you which is the back of the seat facing you. I must say depending on where you are headed, you're pretty ok with 1-2 movies on short flights (1-4 hours) and get tired of watching for long flights ranging from 12-18 hours. on long flights, I'd just watched 2 movies then doze off while listening to some music for the rest of the flight.

Rare chance at a couple hrs on a Saturday. Pressed play on this, for my first time:

The setup was rough to get through, ngl.

Just finished the scene where Ezra met Amira's parents which was obviously after Amira met Ezra's parents.

And then came one of my favorite scenes ever.

Now the movie starts for me...

The Rum Diary?

She's prominently in that first Aquaman film. Or Drive Angry with Cage probably would be fun.
Drive Angry next.
Watched Nver Back Down last night.
She was awful, but so sweet.
Just like I remembered.
Seeing that film again, I can definitely see the crazy side that tried to Murder Depp.
