And Cowboys and Aliens

the most disappointing nothing of a movie from beginning to end. Whatever alien movie stapled to a garbage western.

Just finished watching Chocolate and wow, that chick can clean house. The fight scenes really were unbelievable and I need to watch me some more of these flicks now, I was in awe. That last showdown was phenomenal and when that dude threw that pallet at her and she slid under the table and then jumped on dude, boy oh boy...Storyline lacked a little bit but it didn't detract. I would've liked to have seen the father's role a little more in the beginning of the film or even at the middle when ole dude came in and took the mother's toe, but that probably would've made the film a half hour or so longer and taken some of the spotlight away from Zen so I understand why not. Overall though, very happy I saw this film and I really loved the imperfect-love message at the end. Great way to end it.

Nah CP I saw it I just didn't participate, I read every page of this thread.

Just saw Crazy, Stupid, Love...
Pretty impressed with the movie. I enjoyed how they pointed out the cliche and tweaked it a bit... for example Emma Stone back at Gosling's place. The twist was pretty good, I should have figured it out but still surprising anyway.

Gosling is officially one of my favorite actors, and Stone was really adorable.

I'm not much of a doc guy, but wife made me watch "There's something wrong with Aunt Diane" over the weekend.........

Damn.  Serious, damn.  That @#$% was horrible.  (not the movie, the story they were telling)  It's on HBO, if you have the stomach, give it a watch.  Not really sure how HBO came to be interested in it, there are car crashes every single day, maybe the mystery is what caught them on this one.  Wife and I debated for a while tryin to come up with a logical answer.  You'll see what I mean if you see it.

I need to find the Jeter one.  Is it being replayed over and over, or did I miss it and it's gone now?

I had a good feeling about Crazy, Stupid, Love.  Glad to hear some positive feedback on it from other than mainstream critics.  There's not too many movies that my wife and I can watch and enjoy together, but this sounds like it might be one.  I'm planning to check it out soon.

just finished watching chocolate. pretty damn good. the fight sequences were obviously killer. i thought some of the acting was worse than the actual story...but neither made me enjoy the movie any less. i did have one question about the story line...why does the head of the trannies shoot himself in the foot? i must have missed something, but i assume it has to do with feeling betrayed? and yeah, the trannies def threw me off for a bit. the fight sequence in the warehouse was probably my favorite. the sequence toward the end inside the restaurant reminded me of kill bill vol 1 a bit. the girl was badass though...did WORK. awesome job making it one of the choices to see, and im glad we picked it.

8/10

I have to avoid HBO right now because I'll drop everything I'm doing and watch the rest of Inception if it's on... And it's on ALL THE TIME and I start back at work on Wednesday...

Chocolate was decent enough... Everybody has pretty well covered the reasons... Solid 6.5/7 for me. Nothing spectacular, but an enjoyable watch.

I feel like Noskey and I had the same idea on what we wanted to watch in this thing... My shortlist is loaded with a few of the same Asian flicks he listed. They'll probably get doubled up on later.
