Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I expect nothing less.

In fact, I need more from ska jr. 16 years old, I’m sure a lot of us were already quoting Tarantino and borrowing Best Picture winners/IMDB Top 100 from Blockbuster
Since you're so curious, I'll give you his top 100 as soon as he finishes it sometime this weekend.
At 16, I hadn't even watched 100 movies.
I mean I had, but they were definitely rated beyond R. 👀
Watching movies/shows and doing projects is basically every second of our free time, and when we watch stuff, we have a dialogue about it almost every single time. Been like that since he was like 10. We don't just sit & watch, the mental equivalent of bored eating.
I have always told him to look at movies, shows, music, video games, and art as various forms of input.
Is the application of that perfect? No. He still loves Pokemon, the Beyblade series, and Wimpy Kid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But is he enjoying watching some of my favorite R rated movies that I've been holding from him his whole life, like last night's Shawshank? Yes.
Is part of that just because he thinks it's cool to be watching an R rated movie? Of course. But as you can see with Otto being his #1 and Prestige top 5, part of it is because he's a young cinephile.

Currently, first

I wish I could remember what my top 10 favorite movies were when I was 16

Akira was probably up there

So what prompted that yesterday was he's going through all of our shelves of movies, and he's making a list on his phone of all of the movies that he's seen that we own. Why? Because, as I alluded to in a previous reply earlier today, I've just started watching rated R movies with him this summer. Well as he went through a few more movies in our library tonight and added them to his phone list, he has already added 2 other movies to his top 10: Rain Man and Soul.
I don't know where they are in his top 10 but stay tuned. 🤣

Poor Things was great. But if you don’t like his style of movies this one might be a lot for you.
Emma Stone was great, Ruffalo gave me maybe his favorite role yet. And I think it’s his best made film yet.
7/8. Need to unpack it a little more so rating might change.
Might be the first time I’ve gotten home at 2:30AM from the movies and don’t regret it.

emma stone was showing her little boobas and beaver. Was surprised. Usually actresses gotta show skin in the beginning of their careers but she wanted to show it now. Funny when the nice guy basically called her a charming r-word. She was looking kinda hot but then you wonder if it’s even appropriate to think that.

I laughed when they showed ruffalo licking her nipple.

I always thought that was her headed toward “her Heaven/Titanic” too, but I just recently found out a whole lot of people think she was just dreaming of Jack and the passengers that night, and woke up the next morning.

Hadn't even considered it until I realized there’s a huge swath of people that interpret the ending as that.

a real hero. saved a child. unlike those 2 buffoons that just looked at people falling off the ship.
What about when Rose and Jack tried to save that one kid in half-up-to-their-waist water down in the bowels after Rose broke out Jack, then the kid’s dad comes out of nowhere and brings him the wrong way and the kid/dad get bombarded by water? There’s a clear attempt

you said it, "tried". unilke Cal who "did" the deed. it's like saying 1st runner up is good enough.

It’s like saying you save a kid to save your own life, unlike the other two

They tried to save a kid while their own lives were nowhere near safety, naw I mean
