Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

My Top 15 of 2023!

*edit* Poor Things and Monster 2023 would’ve made it but I forgot lol
How can I create a list that looks like this?

The Creator was pretty good movie. I’m into Sci-Fi and it had enough action and emotion make it pretty well-rounded. Also, it’s refreshing to see the US as the bad guys for once.

Did you guys like Wonka? I thought it was ok. Felt like a very British film (forgot where it took place). chalamet's singing voice kinda sucks.

Roald Dahl is British (but of Norwegian descent) but I think he was careful to make his books sort of generic and the movies are similar - there are parts that look like somewhere but I think it's intentionally inconsistent - partly because it's interesting and partly to give them a broader appeal.

So it was your intention to just randomly make me sad.

I was sad too.

But the bigger piece was fellow actors giving their salaries to her, as well as her family.

Lot of times families tear themselves apart fighting over money, this one handled it right.

Props to those actors doing something for her like that. 🙏

I just began a rewatch of Boardwalk Empire. Kind of forgot how good this was. The first few seasons anyways. Not even sure I finished because it seemed to fizzle out from what I recall. Gonna stick it out this time.
I also just started my rewatch as I remember really enjoying the first two seasons and show seemed to lose its steam in 3. Don't think I got to the last season myself. About halfway through the first season and the show does a really good job of building up the characters but not revealing too many details at the same time. Michael Shannon gives such a great performance and his acting improves as the season goes along.

I think 3 was my favorite. That was Gyp Rossetti right? 🤔

I can't even remember. I just remember the season after Gyp it started to fade.

Yep that was the season with Gyp. I watched it as it was originally airing during s3 and remember liking some of it but forgot how it ended. I think it was actually s4 where I started to lose interest but am gonna power through this time.

An ex co-worker used to live in a houseboat in Ballard,Seattle and aside from the ridiculous moorage fees he would tell me about the other electrical and plumbing issues he dealt with. He was renting so luckily had the owner take care of the repairs but yea don't think I could deal with a houseboat in Seattle during the fall/winter months.

Well, then impractically it looks sweet

Her and T-Hanks meet more than halfway into the movie, I’m dying for the initial conversation :lol c’mon now

I hated gyp rosetti so much. he was an absolute psychopath and would just kill random people. Plus he was mean to my bae Gillian.
