Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Saving Private Ryan
Forrest Gump
The Green Mile

TGM could be interchanged with Cast Away, Big, Road to Perdition, Toy Story, hell who knows what else could challenge for that spot. Hanks is too good, man.

MrO, take this as a sign, watch Turner and Hooch, as well as League, you will NOT be disappointed. Tom KILLS those roles, especially League. Not his best movie per say, but I could argue his best acting job. Serious.

Finally got around to Shutter Island a few days ago.

I'm positive a lot of people saw it coming... because I suck at that, and I saw it coming. When Leo's character was asked to give up their firearms at the front gate, the first thought that ran through my head was "Yeah, you can't have residents running around with guns."

Great movie.

What else have Scorcese/DiCapprio done?

- Gangs of New York (2002)
- The Aviator (2004)
- The Departed (2006)
- Shutter Island (2010)

The only other tandem that comes to mind is Burton/Depp.

- Edward Scissorhands (1990)
- Ed Wood (1994)
- Sleepy Hollow (1999)
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
- Corpse Bride (2005)
- Sweeney Todd (2007)
- Alice in Wonderland (2010)
coming up: Dark Shadows

I'm no expert like most of you guys, though, so I was wondering what other tandems are out there, past or present.

NOOOOO!!!! Start with something that wont cause the rest of the movies to be disappointments (save for Goodfellas). Save Casino for the last 3 films spots. Actually, @@#+ it, just go chronologically

Saw Moneyball tonight... will post my thoughts on it tomorrow. Also, X2.

Tom Hanks (3 Movies) - Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Cast Away

I've only seen Casino and Goodfellas on that list Ska.

Considering this is "officially" a sports movie thread... Raging Bull is a must watch.

Movie just left me stunned the first time I saw it, it was perfect.
