Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just bought heir to the empire for 1 cent plus shipping and handling haha

I read a blurb and the main bad guy sounds promising

Read the entire triliogy, and make damn sure you check in here with us as you finish each book. You will not be disapointed.

>Paying for movies that arent hard copy in 2012.

700

Well, so far they are saying the new trilogy will be 3 untold stories, not from the expanded universe. :frown:

I'm not worried yet, because at some point they should be able to do projects out of the EU. Bottom line, the vault is open, use it.

Here is all the source material they need, could make 50 movies out of this stuff right here.

1000

:pimp:

I do not see the Rogue Squadron series in there.

I'm not a fan of those. I know they have their place and what not, but I don't like the books that are focused on one group or person and don't move the storyline along of the entire universe. Same with like the Clone Commando series or whatever it's called. I don't really like those. I may get around to them someday if the novels were ever to stop and there was nothing else to read, but for now I'm good.

Whaaaat?! Stackpole is the best EU author not named Tim Zahn. The books follow everything from the Occupation of Coruscant to Warlord Zsinj and his SSD Iron Fist and...

Yeah, I'll shut up now. :nerd: You should really check them out.

I'll look into it. I have noticed that they have slowed down a little with novels (not sure if they'll pick back up now) so I could always go back and read thru those. We'll see. I'll let you know if/when I do get to them tho.

Bryan Singer is onboard to direct X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is great news.

But I'm confused, is this going to be the sequel to First Class? For some reason I thought it was going to be titled First Class 2.

It is the sequel to First Class, no they did not stick with the catchy title of First Class 2, they went outside their box a little.

really? I thought Dafoe was perfect.

I can actually see Jaime pulling a character like that off. could be interesting. But I have not seen the reboot

I saw the first 20 minutes of the Campaign and it was pretty funny. Also Bucky arson Born to be a pornstar is pretty damn funny.Maybe I was just

but i liked it. one of those dumb adam sandler movies. Kind of crazy what happend to stephen Dorph's career and to a lesser extent christina ricci

Dafoe was fine. The problem was they brought him in and killed him off too quickly. If there was more Norman Osborn in the movies you'd love it and probably find it hard for anyone else to portray him. Raimi just made some bad decisions.
Jamie Foxx as Electro.

Thoughts?
I have no idea how to feel about it when I found out earlier today.

I know they're basing it off of Ultimate Comics version of Electro so it's not the white guy from the main MU. I don't read ultimate comics so I don't know if that Electro is a black guy (not that that is the most important thing) and I don't know much of his personality or back story.

Jaime is a very good actor, versatile, and takes his craft seriously so I can only assume he'll do his best given the writing of the sequel. I am still finding it hard to wrap my mind around Jaime Foxx as a super villain though.

His look will probably be based off this

That looks ugly, then again Electro has never looked great in my mind.

I still like the villain though, we'll see.

I liked Dafoe as Osborn, just not GG, if that makes any sense. It's like how I like Andrew Garfield much better as Peter Parker.

Or Christian Bale as Bruce but not Batman

So...does this mean I have to watch the Star Wars movies now?

And it's cool that I only have to watch the cold open and last 5 minutes of every SoA ep to not get mad at it anymore.

JA, Dafoe was no good as GG? Go sit your *** in a chair somewhere. :smh:

Foxx is fine in ANY role he does. The guy is great. I have no idea what an Elektro is but I suspect he'll be great in it. And it's a new character not yet done before on screen, so let's get it.

I agree with Blood Type.

I just got my electricity back yesterday after blacking out on Monday night, but it's whatever. I'm thankful to be otherwise well.

Make something like this into a movie, and I will perish within the theatre. Stuff like this is why the SW universe would never go away, there are billions of years/planets/characters you can come up with storyline wise. They will NEVER run out of ideas/storylines/angles.

Dark, heroic, cool, tragic, revenge, good vs evil, dramatic, score, it's all there. All of it.
