utter crap.

"action" movie masquerading as sci-fi.

so many plot holes.

garbage.

I thought Inception was great.
really? why?

Inception is first big budget movie Ive seen in a long time with a totally original script. Its one of those films that actually makes the viewer think about the concept of time, reality and how the brain processes information/emotions. Dreams have always intrigued me so a movie like this is right up my alley.

What plot-holes were you dissatisfied with ?

Scorsese's catalog. For someone who's considered "the greatest director of all time" by a lot of folks, I can't fully get into his stuff, aside from The Departed. Nothing he's made holds a candle to Coppola or Leone's best.

^ It's supposed to be British people making fun of all of the crazy concepts the success of their country has been based on throughout history.

Like how arbitrary monarchy is. How kings were thought of as above regular people, and about how everything sucked but they try to convince you things were so great back then.

Drive.
Almost every scene had me like wth is this?

The Dark Knight.

I love Nolan's batmans, but people want to stab you if you don't say that you didn't love TDK over TDKR.

Kill Bills. The dialogue was great, but I went into it with the wrong expectations.

:wow: *Sharpens knife*

The Batman Trilogy was overrated. The movies were like everyone other Super Hero block buster, extremely well funded b-movies that were melodramatic and a safe bet commercially for the studio. The problem comes from the fact that the makers of the Trilogy tried to make it into a complex and nuanced anti-hero movie that would be full of moral ambiguity.

The complexity proved to be a thin veneer and what we were left with was a visually unappealing melodrama about the notion that the hoi polloi need to be protected from the free thinkers and the rabble rousers by an unaccountable obscenely rich, slightly aged, white, lawless vigilante.

I have to give credit to heath Ledger though, he was absolutely great as the Joker.

Now I know that I'm not crazy. Totally agree. TDKR was easily the worst of the the three by a mile. Nolan halfassed his way through this movie and it showed with the plot holes. I hated his interpretation of the Batman universe. Christian Bale is far from the best Bat. The Bruce Wayne character was a joke as well.

Other overrated movies:

-Scarface. It's not a critically acclaimed film, but it's not even a top tier gangster flick. Never understood why people hold the film in high regard.

-The Hangover.

-Avatar. It's all visuals, no substance.

pulp fiction....thought it was overrated . never cared for it much
scarface
star wars
super bad , knocked up, this is the end/ ,most  apatow flicks.

Pulp Fiction is overrated but the breakfast scene and mr. wolf are the most
pimp.gif
things to ever grace the cinema.
Star Wars is just iconic and pushed CG animation to new heights. Not overrated in my view.

I think Terminator series is overrated.

American Beauty
Animal House
Caddyshack
Evil Dead 1 & 2

...and the Lord Of Da Rings joints...actually fell asleep in theater during one of them...painfully boring & dull

How did we forget Friday?

If that wasn't Ice Cube and Chris Tucker that movie would've been terrible.

Eh, I didn't enjoy the Kill Bills that much either, and whatever movie it is where the dude and his friend do a lot of drugs and get that hotel room and do that thing in the desert.

Bruh....you didn't like Casino????

Taxi Driver, half of Raging Bull before I fell asleep, The Color of Money, Goodfellas, Casino, Shutter Island, The Departed, Hugo.

To be clear, in no way am I dissing him; I definitely think he's above average, to say the least, and I can unequivocally say that none of the movies have been bad--which can't be said for a lot of directors. As I said before, I thought The Departed was ingenious--although to be fair, that can be attributed more to the screenplay than the directing. However, I don't see anything in his directing style or catalog to warrant him being the GOAT. It seems, to my generation, that Scorsese being the GOAT is a foregone conclusion (leading up to his Oscar win, everyone was making a fuss about how the GOAT deserved it that year, how it was a travesty that the GOAT had never won, etc.), but I don't see anything that elevates him above Leone, Coppola, Lumet, etc.

Casino was dope, as was Goodfellas, but as far as mob flicks go, they both lacked the emotional draw that Godfather I & II and Once Upon A Time  in America had (maybe I just have a soft spot for epic, sweepingly romantic crime flicks with picturesque soundtracks). I'd place Casino and Goodfellas in the same tier as Miller's Crossing/Donnie Brasco/etc.
