Magikarp nest by my house stacking them up currently at 225 candies. Too bad the thanksgiving "special" doesn't give double candies, could of had a Gyrados by the weekend.

Apparently mons that were already in a gym before the CP update are locked in until they are kicked out of the gym. I had a 2000CP Vaporeon in there that still shows 2000CP when you look at the gym. But in my list of mons, the same guy shows as 2242CP 

Yesterday night, I finally got my first Growlithe! 

 After 117 days playing the game, I hatched one from an egg. It figures that Growlithe/Arcanine would get nerfed on the same day that I finally got one, though 

 But still, I'm just happy to add this guy to my dex, and I now have a chance to someday get Arcanine (after walking him 500 miles).

It's stupid that you have to manually collect your coins. It should automatically give you those coins every time the time period is up. Or at least give you the option to set it on auto.

I went to las vegas last weekend. entirely different pokemon in the wild out there than where I usually play. added a bunch of new ones in the couple hours I played at the airport and in ubers back and forth to places.

It's already the 23rd for part of the world. The question is what time zone Niantic uses as reference for when Go event days start/end.

This was easily one of, if not the best update weve gotten.

The formula niantic used to transfer over base stats from the regular games was really flawed.
It favored mix attackers like arcanine and dragonite.
And pokemon who were more focused on either physical or special were way too underpowered. Like gengar, alakazam and machamp.

Alakazam has the highest special attack of any pokemon in gen 1 other than mewtwo. But the old formula made it so its max cp was only around 1600, Because his physical attack stat is so low.

This update helped to balance alot of stuff.
Plus the mons that got nerfed were only small nerfs.
arcanine only lost 5% of his max cp.

Makes alot more pokemon useful, so we dont have to see or use the same 6 mons in gyms

So has the event started in NA yet? My XP on catches has been all over the place all day I just got 1,000 XP for catching a Mankey...Wasn't the first catch of the day and already had plenty Mankeys
