Grand jurors are pulled from the same pool of ordinary people as petit jurors, the ones who decide trials, and are paid the same, in St. Louis County about $18 a day plus mileage.

A judge tries to balance members’ gender, race and geography. Here, a grand jury meets on Wednesdays for four months. The current one is set to expire Sept 10 but will be extended to hear all the evidence in the Brown case, McCulloch said. He said the grand jury had three black members, out of 12 total.

No Hispanics or Asians or native Americans or Indians...

the asian and hispanic population there... well really midwest is slim pickens.. you gotta think almost half of the entire asian etc.. population lives on the west coast with majority of that half in california alone. Same with the hispanic community with most being west coast and the south... Once you step out of those areas you get into places where there may not even be in the 10 thousands of each group in an entire state.

It's gotten to the point where you can't even be mad at fox because it's wasted energy.

They cater to their audience.

They get ratings.

Why would they have a great interviewee come on and crush all their assumptions over the past ten days in ten minutes?

They'd lose credibility with their fans.

Exactly. The way Hannity embarrassed that "community woman" in that posted interview is a perfect example of what they do to get people tuned in.

Hannity and people like him have more people tuning in, more "supporters" that hate them, than supporters or viewers that like them.
It's always been that way, if you tune in, that's all that matters to them, hate or love doesn't come across the screen, ratings and # of views do, so they appreciate the hate or love

duh its this building i forget where it is but i want to believe its in utah... and basically its this huge building like the size of a walmart and all it has is hard drives etc... full of all phone calls texts etc... web activity so on and so forth of every person in the us.. and their entire history.... pretty much anything youve ever done digital and/or using ssn.

From my understanding the jury pool is from St. Louis county not just ferguson. Ferguson is 60% plus black, but STL countY is 23% black, 70% white.

Also STL County and STL city are not the same.

Idk about banks, but I frequented a black owned credit union and they really helped me out with paying for college and were really nice and personable.
But maybe credit unions are just better in general?

I'm sure the haters will say it's stupid and it may lead to opportunist resellers but what have sneaker companies and retailers done for minorities in light of all the injustice? Nothing.

Maybe if we reach out to attention ***** celebs to not advertise a single company, get the blogs to follow suit and force the country to listen.

True. But I rather the money I put in the bank be used to loan to other blacks for small business loans, mortgages, etc than have it going to mostly whites and then they give me the runaround when I need a loan.

i still think it's super wild that:

1) wilson didn't create his own incident report

2) whoever did left it pretty much blank (& did so 10 days after the shooting. 10 days!)

3) the police dept didn't require it to be completed in any way

as a "public servant" you should be required to do those things at the very least. it's not only a failure on the part of the individual police officer, but also the police chief and dept for letting it go. this was a major incident and there's no completed incident report? that's not even shady that's egregious

compared to a black family making 100k, get about the same home loan amount from banks. Simply because they figure whites have more upward mobility and a black family making 100k is the best they'll do.

compared to a black family making 100k, get about the same home loan amount from banks. Simply because they figure whites have more upward mobility and a black family making 100k is the best they'll do.

Yup which is why home prices are so high in some majority white areas. There are plenty of white folk in 500k that don't have an income of 100k. Try and be black and get a 500k loan with less than 100k in income they'll laugh you smooth out the office.

Welp.

I didn't expect anything different, if I'm being honest.  And if I'm really honest, I already know how this whole Grand Jury thing is going to go.  Hell, even if it makes it to trial, I already know how things are going to go.

Guess I was hoping something would be different.  Silly me.  

This whole thing is a damn shame and mad disheartening.  **** just isn't fair.
