Do yourself the favor and go back to the 20's


Sorry about your troubles. I've known plenty of people that have had wheels painted without issue. None that I know of were chrome originally and I believe there's extra prep work needed when spraying over chrome.


I've heard that most powder coating places can bead blast chrome wheels and then powder coat them.  Much easier and cheaper than having chrome stripped
Thanks for the input guys. Got a big midterm on Saturday so after that I'm gonna try and figure out something.

THE VIDEO WAS MY BEST LAP AT 2:05.25. STILL TYRING TO BREAK INTO UNDER 2 MINUTES. ANYTHING UNDER 2:10 IS FAST AND ANYTHING UNDER 2:00 IS REALLY FAST ON THAT TRACK.

COUPLE OF THE PORSCHE GUYS WERE DOING 1:55 CONSISTENTLY. ONE PORSCHE GUY TOOK ME OUT AS A PASSENGER IN HIS GT3 AND HE DID 1:48 :x . WAS SCARY AS ****. HE WOULD NOT BRAKE AT ALL COMING OFF THE LONG INCLINED STRAIGHT UNTIL LITERALLY THE LAST MOMENT. BUTT CLENCHING MOMENT FOR ME :lol: .

WAS S WAS ON PACE ACCORDING TO MY TIMER TO DO 2:01 BUT A NISSAN GTR SPUN OUT ON THE TRACK AND CAUSED A YELLOW FLAG RIGHT AS I APPROACHED THE LAST TURN BEFORE THE OVAL STRAIGHT SO I HAD TO SLOW DOWN. COUPLE GUYS FROM THAT SESSION WERE PISSED AT THE GTR DRIVER :lol:


THE CAR IS A MONSTER TO DRIVE. THERE IS SO MUCH MECHANICAL GRIP IN THE CORNERS FROM THE SUSPENSION AND TIRE SETUP. TONS OF TOP END SPEED BUT NOT A LOT OF LOW END TORQUE. THE CAR REVS SO HIGH THAT YOU GET SUCKED INTO NOT DOWNSHIFTING BUT I KEEP FORGETTING I NEED TO DOWNSHIFT TO GET THE MOST OUT OF MY TORQUE RANGE. I DEF LEFT SECONDS ON THE TABLE BY NOT GOING INTO 3RD BEFORE SOME OF THE CORNERS. THAT'S WHY RECORDING THE LAPS AND WATCHING THEM HELPS A LOT.

Speed will come with seat time don't stress it. I can't even hear if you are pushing the tires because the car is so loud lol

I'M RUNNING MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORTS. BEEN LOVING THEM SO FAR BUT MAY GET THE MICHELIN SPORT CUP 2'S FOR A DEDICATED SET OF TRACK TIRES.

MY SET UP IS STAGGERED. 19" X 10.5" WHEELS IN THE FRONT WITH 295/35/ZR19 TIRES AND 19" X 11" WHEELS IN THE BACK WITH 305/35/ZR19 TIRES

I have the first generation Prerunner Crew crab (2003).  Thing has nearly 200k miles and is still running like a champ.  WIll definitely be looking into a new tacoma when that time comes.

Bolt ons shouldn't void the warranty. Accessport yes as soon as you change the map. You can always change it back to the factory ecu setting though. Someone told me that they can see if it was altered but not sure I believe that. I had no issues when I used flashpro on my Si
 
Just got the el Camino back from my exhaust guy. I went with flowmasters with chrome tips out the back. Here's a YouTube link since I can't figure out how to embed
