Always wanted to drive one. One of the best sounding cars to come out of the 2000s (IMO). But they are straight junk, and I suspect most of the ones for sale now have been through a couple of owners who've neglected maintenance (same thing we're seeing with the majority of E46 M3s). I remember cruising along the freeway in an acquaintance's and the electronics went haywire and the SMG downshifted from 6 to 1. It was precisely at that moment that I vowed never to own a modern BMW outside of warranty.

992 looks really stout, and I cringe at the thought of how artificial the car feels and sounds. However, I'll reserve judgement until they announce the GT3 and RS.

Got a chance to take a gt4 club on the track, first Porsche cup car I’ve ever driven and very impressive. The pdk in that car is so fast and the mid engine gives is the most balanced ride during corners. It’s the Perfect track car, for me anyways as I don’t have a lot of experience with racing
