They’re all turbos now anyway.. good or bad depending on your taste

The ruf porches is where it’s at for me.

Either a 993 turbo r

Or the new ctr

I know I said I like NA cars but can’t hate on ruf

They do their own carbon tubs now too

Interior of the 992 is awful. Doesn't belong in a sports car. 992 is basically the Panamera coupe at this point. Oh well.

Manual gearbox will still be around for the purists. But it does have more of a luxury/comfort setting now

Interested in seeing what the GT3 RS will look like in the interior

That 7 speed MT offered in the 911’s is horrendous. Only the one in the gt3 is a proper 6 speed.

If you want a regular non turbo 911 today with a 6 speed, the gt3 w/ touring package is your only option

For as great as they are on the track they haven't ever not been luxury cars too. Could see it coming from a mile away

992 is ugly AF, especially that rear. I hate the vertical lines on the engine cover, it's why I prefer the 991.1 to the .2.

We should be getting allocation soon, so maybe my opinion will change when I see it in person.

Post 991, I agree. But there's nothing "luxury" about the interior of my car, or anything 997 and older.

But yes, starting with the 991, the car transitioned from a sports car to a touring car (GT cars notwithstanding), so this was to be expected. Doesn't mean I have to like it though. I buy these cars to drive (never used the navigation in my GT3, nor can I remember the last time I even turned on the stereo), not to be able to book reservations at my favourite restaurant (the new 992 has a stupid 24h concierge service thing).

Whatever makes the 991 GT3 fall in value is want I want to see them make

Also waiting to see what the new GT4 will be. I've held out on pulling the trigger on a GT4 to see what the new one will be. Will it be good enough to hurt the values of the current ones? Then maybe I'll get the 2016 after that happens. Or if they're going to have a similar MSRP as the 2016 did (unlikely) then I'll just go for a brand new one since they hold value so well.

Thats what I want as well. i think thats why the 991 is a sweet spot imo because it still offers an updated cabin feel but also.

This new cabin is a little OD though, with the digital dash and what looks to be a touchscreen infotainment system. I like the new steering wheel though.

I'd personally never use those other features either though. Outside of navigation I'd probably just use my phone for everything, hell probably for the nav as well.

All this turbo/GT3 talk has ruined my mentality for buying the Carrera now :smh:

Can't wait to see the GT3 RS of the 992. The 991 GT3 RS is one of my dream cars. I would take it over the GT2 RS just because of the sound of the NA flat 6.

Idk how mogs drive right hand side in the States. Drove past a dude in a Nissan GTST, and I thought he was a passenger. It would def take some getting used to. Esp shifting with the left hand.

Making those left turns with oncoming traffic at an intersection with no dedicated left turn signal is what would scare the crap out of me.

Curious to hear people's opinions on the shifter for the 992 but then again most people will just use the paddles. Still a beautiful car
