What do you have?

Hot Hatches aren't as known here in the states. The ones we do have seem to be geared towards high schoolers. The wife and I found the Golf R while looking at the GTI, had no clue the R existed. The tech in the MK8 has really intrigued her.
Yeah, no doubt the are fun to drive just not my thing.

I have the mk7 gti.

I like the looks of the 8 but idk about all that touchscreen stuff...

you can’t really lose with a gti or r though. Fun to drive, hatchback and good on gas.

Most likely going to close a deal on a 2020 Grand Cherokee to lease for a daily.

Tired of the small room of the Renegade lol

I’m playing man, I feel you. I know some people have to take the bus... sorry but I’m not taking loads of groceries from Costco on a vomit and piss filled corona factory on a cold winter day if I don’t have to.

My wife is 35 and wants nothing to do with a RS or Si. She fell in love with the RS3 Avant Hatch in South Africa and the Golf R is the closest she can get to that.

I asked her about the M2 Comp, but she currently has a Mini and tired of spending $1k everytime the check engine light comes on.
Idk my brother in law friend drives a m2 and never heard any problems with them that would cost you 1k per issues. And his is downpiped and tune, m2, 340i and that new Supra the most reliable Bmw you can get these days under 50k(used)

Recently upgraded my ancient Accord (after transmission **** the bed) to this 2013 Civic Si. Fantastic 6-speed manual on a 2.4L naturally aspirated 4 cylinder with a previously upgraded intake and Invidia N1 exhaust (I installed the silencer because it was a bit much). Love this damn thing.

I'm really surprised no one has posted this story. It's rather incredible, in today's age of automotive technology, that a small American built hypercar can out-duel and flat out decimate the world record for top speed. Beating speed from cars from Bugatti and Koenigsegg. Bugatti having a basically unlimited budget for R&D, and Koenigsegg, whose founder is, in my opinion on of the smartest people in the entire automobile field (his camless engine and single gear transmission are genius). But hats off to SSC, Jarod Shelby (no relation to Carroll) and to Dr. Larry Caplin, the car's owner, for going for the record!! Here's the story!!

And for those who want a good shot of the actual WR setting car, here ya go.

From the Philly Auto Show. The owner, Dr Caplin, owns & runs CFCharities. They have a huge show at the Wells Fargo center yearly (though this year cancelled) and they always have a huge display at the Philly show. Dr. Caplin has an amazing collection. So much that he came to the local Cars & Coffee at Porsche Warrington this past summer and brought his Ferrari FXXK Evo...which he DROVE there. The car isn't street legal. But he did get a police escort to let him take it on the road. We all hope he brings the Tuatara next spring when the monthly show starts back up in April. Amazing, 331 mph & 316 mph 2-way average. Insane!!!

I explained this to my wife but BMW has left her with a bad taste. We sat in the Supra and wasn't impressed, but at the time she wasn't "looking" for a car. I've asked her but She's determined to get a 911 or RS3 Avant.

We've looked at the M2 Comp and she has been really put off by the dealer experience.

Sometimes you just like what you like. Idc how great Nissan was or will be in the future. I will never buy a Nissan unless it’s a classic. One bad one killed the whole brand for me.
