Hot Hatches aren't as known here in the states. The ones we do have seem to be geared towards high schoolers. The wife and I found the Golf R while looking at the GTI, had no clue the R existed. The tech in the MK8 has really intrigued her.

Idk my brother in law friend drives a m2 and never heard any problems with them that would cost you 1k per issues. And his is downpiped and tune, m2, 340i and that new Supra the most reliable Bmw you can get these days under 50k(used)My wife is 35 and wants nothing to do with a RS or Si. She fell in love with the RS3 Avant Hatch in South Africa and the Golf R is the closest she can get to that.
I asked her about the M2 Comp, but she currently has a Mini and tired of spending $1k everytime the check engine light comes on.
B48 and B58 engines are amazingIdk my brother in law friend drives a m2 and never heard any problems with them that would cost you 1k per issues. And his is downpiped and tune, m2, 340i and that new Supra the most reliable Bmw you can get these days under 50k(used)
