Post Your Motorcycle

Who do you guys use for insurance? Was thinking about getting another bike and the quotes I was getting were crazy.

Damn that video is crazy.

Eye for an eye. The driver of the car should have the same thing done to them.

when its your time to go.... nothing you can do about that.
If it was a car it still would be the same except both parties would be rip.

Best shoes to ride in? Dunno if I should just use some J's I have now or get some real motorcycle boots.

Definitely get a pair of riding shoes. The Js wont do much if you go down.

I rock the Icon 1000 Truant in all black. Love em. They use great leather and the reinforced stitching is awesome. The quality on my pair suprised me. They have plates in the ankle as well as a plate in the midsole for protection. I didnt want a full on boot, I wanted something i could throw on with jeans and walk around for a day as well as ride in. Id definitely recommend them. Are they the best out there? idk but I love em.

I use Rider Insurance. I think it's only available in a few states though.

I ride in Timbs.

Pulled my bike out Saturday for the first time in months. Felt real good. I need to move somewhere warm year round.

What's up gentlemen, I'm need of tires any recommendations, such as best grip, best price, best brand, etc.

i can't really answer this but i do believe that it would be dependent on the type of riding you do and how much durability/longevity matters to you...

ANYONE OUT HERE MOTOVLOGGING? I PICKED UP A GO PRO HERO 3+ SILVER AND FRONT HELMET MOUNT KIT FROM BEST BUY THE OTHER DAY. GOT THE GOPRO MOUNTED ON MY HELMET BUT GETTING A GOOD AMOUNT OF WIND NOISE FROM MY EXTERNAL MIC. MAYBE NEED ANOTHER DEADCAT ON THERE?

remembered this post after coming across this vid, might be useful:

DAMN. MIGHT BE A GAME CHANGER RIGHT THERE.

Mostly just local street riding, nothing crazy no track days or anything like that, I would like something with good grip and decent milage rating

definitely not super knowledgeable on tires, i've been riding on a dual compound tire (softer compound on the sides for better grip when leaning and a harder compound in the middle for durability) really just out of habit...but the whatever came stock on the bike usually seems to be the best compromise between grip, durability/mileage, road surfacing, handling & price...one thing to look out for is the speed rating of tires, i never heard of a tire failure because of it but better safe the sorry i think!

I rock the Michelin Pilot 3s I think they are. Supposed to be a good riding around type tire, not built for the track. I think there's a Pilot 4 that's supposed to be even better. I've had the 2 and 3 for the last 5 years and never had an issue.

^Thanks @Ballerific703, yeah I have heard good things about Pilots, and I think the guy at the motorcycle shop said he had on sale right now

The real the issue I'm having is that my front is significantly more worn than the rear, and the front tire is wearing significantly more on the left side than the right, I'm pretty sure it has to do with tension setting on the forks, which I adjusted once I notice it.

The rear is still good and I could ride some more miles on it, but the front definitely needs to be replaced, so I don't know if to just go ahead and buy new front and back now or just find a good used one to put on it until the back is ready to be changed

^Thanks @tokes99 I didn't even think of something like a dual compound tire, that's probably right up my alley since I pretty much do local street riding

But like I said above I first need to figure out if I'm gonna replace both now or go with a used until the rear is read to changed

Just got a set of Bridgestone S20 Evos for my 636, dual compound front, triple compound rear, supposed like a 75/25 street/track tire. You might want to look into them if you havent made a purchase yet.
