It's because of the pantoscopic tilt.  Get the New Wayfarer (2132) if you want a similar shape and not worry about the frame resting on your cheekbones.

i know the frames I posted earlier look big on me but the specs are actually pretty close to my regular spec sizing

Dita frames: 54 - 18.5 - 138
regular specs: 52 - 16 - 140

well genuis, wayfayers only come in 2 sizes... 50mm & 54mm

anything else are modified ones which are 52mm but aren't da original frames.

Point blank. Find glasses that compliment your face size and shape.

If glasses you like don't come in a size appropriate for you... find something else that does.
