POST YOUR WATCHES vol. ?

after a quick cleaning and right before a birthday dinner for a friend of the wife.

went and bought this a couple days ago. i had posted a few pages back about how i wanted the manual wind, because it looks much more simple and clean, but the guy ended up talking me out of it by saying it was more of a collector's watch than anything. i decided to go with the automatic chrono. i'm not sure why, but i just absolutely fell in love with this color combo the first time i saw it. usually not a fan of rose gold, but i just can't stop staring at it :D.

just don't know if i made the right decision considering there was only a $500 difference in the price

unfortunately i can't talk to any of my friends about it, because none of them share the interest with me.

^ Really nice pick-up, man. :hat :hat

Planning to get an Auto Chrono in a few year's time, myself. The one with the silver dial and rose gold hands. Really digging the look. A "cheaper" alternative would be the Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 43mm (CAR 2012)... but I like the IWC much more. It's just much more expensive, though. :lol

Got my Orange Monster in the mail the other day, lume is extremely bright. Love Seiko divers, eyeing the skx007 next. Second is my 1972 Breitling Datora 592. I've got a few other watches but no pics right now.

I'd personally get the Sub, it's more classic than the PO just because the PO has orange indexes.

The Sub will also hold it's value better over time but it really is just a classic design that will never get old (I can see myself getting tired of the orange in that particular PO). It might be a more difficult decision if the PO didn't have the orange indexes or if it were the Speedmaster. I'd probably still pick the Sub in the end though.

TypeRPinoY: you talking grey market or used?? 8o

orange indexes
I agree this is trendy now and might not "age" well, style wise

the safer and more subtle option:
700

A big reason why I like the PO is that in certain circles (i.e. when I visit the DC office), a lot of people have subs/rolex ... I'd like to mix it up (also 42mm cases fit perfect)
