The article says that it's the first time a letter from a high level recruit has become available - and for that to be MJ is interesting.

Are you sure? Because my great-grandfather Mike L. Gordon received a similar letter written by ink and feather on a sheet of hemp in 1921 during the era of Prohibiton.

They have this in the UNC Basketball museum along with Coach K's letter back to Michael after deciding he wasn't interested in Duke, Dean Smith's letters to Mike on what he needed to improve on each summer, and his original recruiting index card, and letter of intent (among many other things). Highly recommend checking it out to anyone ever in the Chapel Hill area. Completely free to go
