just got a hand me down 60gb backwards compatible ps3. only thing is its not working, going through sony to fix it for roughly $180. anyone been through this? how good are the factory repairs. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

I got my 60gb in 2007 it got damaged 6months later in 2008 I sent it to sony paid $150 they said they were sending a brand new ps3 its been 2 years already, and that new ps3 hasn't caused any problems, so its up to you if you want to pay $180.
