A great "routine" you can do with them to really add strength and endurance is this one, which NFL prospects do to prepare for the Combine:
1. Have a partner time how long it takes you to do as many pushups as you can do till failure. (Say it is 40 seconds)
2. Immediately rest for that length of time it took you. (you will rest for that 40 seconds)
3. Have a partner time how long it takes you do as as many pushups as you can do till failure. (Say it is now 30 seconds)
4. Immediately rest for that length of time it took you that time. (you will rest for that 30 seconds)
5. Repeat until you can't do even 1 pushup.
It will go quickly. Do it a few times each session. And if you practice this several times per week your bench press (if that is something that interests you) will seriously shoot up.
