Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (a Spaghetti Western) scheduled for release Christmas 2012

Typical response, yet let Ninjahood express how he considers himself Hispanic as not black and NT go up in arms, is like everyone is entitled an opinion on ANY race on here, but when it comes to blacks one must proceed with caution, all I said is the black community supports a *** director simply because he's black and dudes get their Jimmies Rustled as if they can tell me this is an all out lie, GTHO
They don't support him because he's "black" they support him because he makes "black" films. Badly might I add. It's like how NYers support Roc Marciano. They don't support him because he's from NY. They support him because he makes NY music. Badly might I add. If there were viable alternatives those would be getting support.

So why not support QT??...would it had been in better taste if Spike made this movie? SRS question.

Again I'm not even sure if I'm against the movie or not but Spike's problem isn't that QT uses the N word in the movie. It's because he doesn't want slavery trivalized to a Western comedy movie. Therefore if Spike made the movie it would still be in bad taste ACCORDING TO HIM AND THOSE WHO SHARE HIS VIEW POINTS. IT IS NOT ABOUT QT USING THE N WORD. UNDERSTAND?

At the end of the day is just a movie, which nobody is forced to watch or support ticket sales or be upset with anyone that does enjoy it or scream closet racist...

Critical response

Reception

The film has a rating of 87% on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, based on 85 critical reviews with an average rating of 7.6 out of 10. The general consensus was: "Bold, bloody, and stylistically daring, Django Unchained is another incendiary masterpiece from Quentin Tarantino." Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, reports the film with a score of 80, indicating "generally favorable reviews".

Peter Bradshaw, film critic for The Guardian, awarded the film five stars. Wrote Bradshaw: "I can only say Django delivers, wholesale, that particular narcotic and delirious pleasure that Tarantino still knows how to confect in the cinema, something to do with the manipulation of surfaces. It's as unwholesome, deplorable and delicious as a forbidden cigarette." Some critics have criticized the film's heavy usage of the word "******". However, some reviewers have defended the usage of the language by pointing out the historic context of race and slavery in America.

No.
People only think that because of the way the trailer is edited.
I hate the trailer.

First two articles I pulled up about Django Unchained

"The world's first western blaxploitation revenge buddy comedy" http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/...ion-revenge-buddy-comedy/Content?oid=15565308
"There's a wordless sequence in Quentin Tarantino's anti-bigotry neo-Spaghetti Western exploitation comedy Django Unchained " http://www.npr.org/2012/12/24/166898958/tarantinos-genius-unchained

I already explained that every film with humor isn't a comedy.

Tarantino doesn't make comedies.

So what should I have said in order to caregorize the vast majority of TP fans without you getting bent out of shape bruh?...
Yes DC black Females, I was not aware the term "black community" was insulting....please all nonhispanics of NT refrain from ever using the term "papi" :rolleyes
Nah "black community" isn't offensive, it is just the statement was inaccurate. You just generalized instead of specified who in the "black community" were fans of TP.

I don't even see anyone getting up in arms in this thread or chastising others for going to see the movie....

Pretty mild discussion about valid talking points.

Y'all closet racists constantly get your jimmies rustled by independent black opinions.
Hmmmm.....care to point out the closet racists in this thread and how you know?  Just curious.

I'm black, if that matters.
