Question for NTers that work retail

I'm about to open a small business and I was just wondering what Point of Sale software/system you were using. Any incite would be helpful.

seen a few for macs (I assume they'd be expensive programs)
, and saw K B toy stores going out of business was selling their registers with POS built in.

shoulda caught circuit city and steve & barry's they were selling registers...mannequins....
