He was a heartless, cold blooded psycho though but a dope character nonetheless

That's why Marlo was forced out of the Game.

He was too worried about his rep.

The contrast between Marlo and the Greek was brilliant. Marlo's 'My name is my name' vs. the 'Greek' saying 'Of course, I'm not even Greek, and my name is not my name.' Shows how much the Wire respected its viewers, connecting stuff several seasons apart. Also shows the difference in attitude and ultimately criminal success.

People always say that Season 2 is the weakest, but that season lays so much groundwork for 3-5 it's crazy.

Yup, personally I loved season 2 after getting used to the sharp shift in perspective. It isnt bad, dont let people fool you. Its a fantastic season (It might be above certain others for me personally), its just different. Not as much emphasis on the streets or any of that stuff that attracted people and kept them glued to season 1. It basically reestablishes a lot which bothers some people after going through season 1.

Season 2 is highly slept on. It laid the the background/ground work for the rest of the series. Season 4 is still my fav.

a story ran in the Washington Post Magazine last year about how the dude who played Poot is having a hard time finding acting gigs.  At the time of the article, he was working in the mailroom of some lawfirm in DC.

*What was the real reason why Chris, Snoop, Slim, etc never told Marlo about what Omar was saying about him (won't see him in the streets etc....)...was it fear?  Honestly, no matter how messed up a situation was, Marlo ALWAYS kept his cool.  That was until he flipped out in the jail when everyone fessed' up about what Omar was saying....
