I'd say raising a child well is the most manly thing one can do in life.
At first I felt kind of weird about it because you're "supposed" to be the main breadwinner, right? But a few things set my mind at ease:
i do as well. or like my son constantly wants to play simon says i feel bad saying i dont feel like it right now cause it seems he wants to play it for HOURS.Damn.
I won't say that what I do is difficult, but there are definitely challenges with staying at the crib. Being an ENGAGING parent is challenging because nobody wants to do kid **** like color, build popsicle stick houses and all that. You have to force yourself to engage your kid instead of plopping them down in front of cartoons all day. Not to mention my kid wakes up going 100 mph and only slows down for naptime and bedtime. Makes it difficult to get a lot of other essential stuff done, to be honest. It was MUCH easier when I could set her on her play mat and all she'd do was roll around a little.
All that said, I can't even complain. I'm fortunate to be in my position, and even though I'm actually looking forward to working again, I'll enjoy this until she heads off to kindergarten or my wife freaks out.Whichever comes first.

That's the thing. If I'm carrying a gun, I ain't approaching people or starting fights. If you talk to people who carry guns every day for self-defense, even they are iffy about getting hugs.What about it? People star fights get their butt whopped everyday

Oh, we have the income. It just worked out that me quitting my job to stay at home with the little one made sense financially, thanks to my wife earning far more $$ as a RN than I ever did. Put it this way--half of my monthly earnings from my state government job would've went to covering daycare costs. :x Luckily, the wife is in a position where she can essentially cover what I earned by working a couple of extra shifts a month.

I've known people black and white to actually confront people they don't recognize, I've even seen my father literally run out the door at midnight in the suburbs because there were people standing out on the corner for a while. It could easily have been that Zimmerman felt sketchy about Martin for some reason and tried to catch up to him and Martin freaked out.

So Zimmerman starting the fight, just doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, if they prove he did start the fight then he is guilty. But if Trayvon turned around and started throwing haymakers, then GZ is in the clear. But the fact that he suffered a broken nose and lacerations on his head justify the shooting in my head.
The only thing that really determines this case is who truly instigated this fight...
