You clearly missed the point of Wavez post
People like you swear by the "golden age" in hip-hop where everything was genuine, including album sales. More likely than not, albums were being bought by labels back then too, which mostly every rapper went "gold or platinum right out the gate" in those times. If anyone states that, as Wavez did, people like you come in all defensive, as you did, to attack the most irrelevant part of the conversation, while ducking the main point, as you're doing.

It's not even really that deep.
The internet and music pirating didn't exist. Even if "books were being cooked"...music all across the board still sold more in the past. Not just Hip-Hop. You don't have to be woke to have the common sense to know that.
