Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

If 50 ain’t busting moves with Riq from power...I don’t wanna entertain it.

I'll practically press play on anything just to fairly judge it, and I'm an Uncle Murda fan, but there's no way in hell I'll click on this

He top 10 of the 2000s and 2010s....

That’s a FACT

no that would be an opinion, and one that i'm not even gonna debate because i already know where you stand so it's pointless

with That said i'm putting together a playlist/album of all Ross **** over that luxurious sound. Gonna drop a copy later & see which joints i left off

Ross been lyrically consistent for a while. Content, flow, lyrics, all that.

I've seen several people on here entertain ross being a top 10 rapper ever, and that's when i realized that i'm just not gonna get into these debates about Ross on here

If Wayne can be considered a goat with YEARS of trash I don't see why Ross can't be top 10 and he's a better rapper and better catalog.

There are COUNTLESS examples. ***** just rapped on par with Jay Z on “What’s free” a few weeks ago . I’ll just leave Santoni Greece here since its fairly recent....and because it gives me an excuse to vibe to it.

Especially the last verse :pimp:

It’s literally me against all Ross fans in here

Get rich or die trying and power of the dollar ****s on any Ross project to date.

Ross isn’t up to par with 50 lyrically,

On what’s free,
jay had the best verse on that track, meek and Ross were ok.

Again just a matter of opinion,
Born and raised in Jamaica queens so I been rolling with 50 since his early mixtapes,
I listen to Ross to, there’s no denying he’s dope, but lyrically he don’t match 50.

I still play Guess Who's Back and Power The Dollar. That was 50's peak as a rapper but the fall off was hard. Listening to Slow Doe then listening to Animal Ambition is like watching Denver Melo then Rockets Melo. Hang it up dawg. :{ :lol

A lil 2019 prediction. I think there will he a decline in multiple releases from artists this year. As a result of this, they gon go back to the longer albums. 15-18 tracks.

There were way too many releases this year.

I've made a challenge to catch up on all the music i missed last year.

IF i actually have some history of the artist & like them i'm gonna give the whole project a spin, if it's a rapper who i find repetitive or not original enough i'm literally gonna skim through the album see what production i rock with the most & take those.

There's just no way i'm sitting through hours upon hours of music from ****** who only care to do the bare minimum when creating.

This Griselda crew interview on rap radar is great. Ima give Supreme Blientele another listen. Westside Gunn got on a whole animal.

IMO 50 wins against Ross lyrically, Ross wordplay is trash.

I still don't like short albums. Not saying they need to be 20 tracks but 7 tracks (*cough*Daytona*cough*) is waaay too short.

An album should at least be 30min long IMO

Thriller was 9 tracks, Off the wall 10 tracks, Illmatic 10 tracks etc. I mean how many of you can name albums that have like 17 tracks that you really listen to all the way through multiple times like that?
