Never fails.
Damn near ANY producer that has relied on heavy keyboard, sythetic, futuristic sounds ends up sounding dated af a few years after the fact.
Timbo, neptunes, swizz. Same thing.
Not to make myself out to be BTNH guy, but ive rocked with them so long over the years bc their production for the most part, consisted of “natural” instrumentation. Good amount of that stuff was pianos, guitar, drums, bass, strings & horns. Alotta their music still holds up.

In my personal ranking
Vol. 1 goes over Reasonable Doubt *shrug*
I never knew this, however its funny in hindsight since they allegedly told Little Brother their music was too smart for their networkAnybody remember when BET finally started getting concerned about the stereotypical way black people were being portrayed on their programming, so they debuted a show called Hot Ghetto Mess (then renamed it We Got To Do Better), which featured black people being portrayed in stereotypical ways?? Good times.
Played this for my wife last night for our anniversary
Man, lupe don’t get enough credit
Timb can never be outdated. This is by far the greatest Timbo beat and he has a TON of classics. **** is my theme song
RD is flawless.
Vol. 1 got a skip or two.
Both classsics though at the end of the day.
RD is overrated
Vol 2 is easily Jay’s best album
