This is Twitter in a nutshell  the loudest people usually have minimal people actually interacting with them, yet they’re the first to jump into convos

I could see Vol 2 over Vol 1.

I prefer Vol 1 but they’re both in my top 5 Jay albums. I’m a huge fan of Vol 2.

If it weren’t for the try hard shiny suit records on Vol 1 it might have had the edge. Half of that album is top notch. Vol 2 has better overall music and nostalgia. 98-99 was a special time.

Artists album that got better over time

OutKast
TI
Scarface
Tupac
Linux
Eightball MJG
UGK was a toss up with pocket full of stones to Ridin’ Dirty
Dr. Dre - 2001

I cant think of too many sequel Hip-Hop albums period let alone ones that were better than the original. Anyway Hard Knock Life is better than In My Lifetime to me, sunshine was that horrible.

Hunger for More a classic in my book, 2 was real good but not as good.

Some of y’all just throwing out sophomore albums. That wasn’t the question.

Food & Liquor 2 was real good but it wasn’t 1. The Cool is GARBAGE.

HFM was more than punchline Banks though. He was definitely on the multisyllabic rhyming sneeze back then.

"You heard right ************
Grandmama daughter ain't raised no sucker
Heart full of pride and a head full of anger
Attitude of a winner infrared for the danger
Even the paranoia of a female will change ya
Waking up every morning laying next to a stranger
I'm on the move, smooth, with one eye out for the snakes
Who can't stand hearing your name all throughout the states
Tune into BET and watching your video
Pretending to be your friends but the smart ones really know
So
If that's your man warn him
Cuz it's enough bullets in here to hit every NBA patch on em"

:smokin

So... yeah....
