Nobody had money or cars, so the only attention you had to give a girl was phone calls and seeing each other in the hall ways.

No expensive dinner dates or bar nights. A date can easily run you a bill depending on where you’re at.

****tt... high school, at best you were taking a joint to the movies. That’s a solid $20 night which is a lot of money when you’re in the 10th/11th grade.

About as serious as most get during HS (all that “we gonna be together forever” type **** only to break up around graduation ). Was with her from the 10th grade up to graduation, so she’d gotten cool with my mom over the years. Had her number and all that bs. No idea why, but they kept in touch here and there after we broke up in senior year. Moms literally brought her up like two weeks ago and all I could do was shake my head and laught. Like why do you still talk to this girl from 12 years ago ma?!
