Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Random and I'm clearly late, but I stumbled upon this song the other day. Now these dudes are talented. Their sound is so different, but it still feels very familiar.

How late am I?

Heard this the other day while randomly flipping through MTV Jams the other day before going out. Fire.

They sound very familiar like you said....I can’t put my finger on it. **** was frustrating me the other night :lol

Damn that chick Pac raped was fire. I need the pics from 20 years ago dog

Earth Gang and JID hard. Cole signed all 3 of them last year

They represent a different sound coming out of ATL that doesn’t get as much attention as it should kinda a new age OutKast type of deal. Earth Gang actually from SWATS too

Random....but I’m surprised as hell this song is #51 on the billboard and climbing :lol.

Birdman with the assist 8o? Kinda crazy how solid Youngboy fan base is. They support him. This joint fire too. You gotta hear it in the whip when the beat drop.

Yeah. I peeped when they got signed a while back on some random ****. This joint doing well. Good track.

Outkast is definitely what I was thinking, just didn't want to say it.

OutKast still ain’t it. Reminds me of someone else . Still can’t place it.

Def parts of the song and video remind me of this though. You can’t tell me you don’t see the similarities

Flow switch @ 2:10 mark

Birdman trying to find someone to give him another short run before it’s over.

He has a great ear, though. Can’t even deny that about Birdman.

Oh definitely wavycrocket wavycrocket . I think it's moreso something like Dungeon Family deep south feel. It's such a dope sound, but it feels like we haven't heard it in a really long time. The south took over and kinda hasn't been making that soulful southern hip hop that they were known for.

Breath of fresh air.

I hear Cee-Lo in the first part of the track and 3 Stacks after the 2:10 mark

This show won't last as long as Nedeska and Ak take advantage of every moment to team up on Star. Listening to them take that first convo on a 10 min stretch got irritating. Same with the "How is 4:44 too personal?" convo. And Star has to do better at explaining what "too personal" means

That’s ****** up if that’s the original pic. You can say what you want about French but how dare you cut Fab out of anything pic.

Y’all know Birdman cooking up something. He ain’t going to stay quiet for long.

Lol like I said I willing to give this pac chick a chance. Of course she’s going to be nervous but these next 20 parts vlad bout to put up will judge how she comes off

Getting French out of there is funny, he doesn't belong in that pic.

They no longer drop the new episodes at 11?

Yea, I've noticed these videos are at least 10 mins shorter than the eps with Joe. If they aren't editing down the video because of Star, it's evidence they aren't enjoying the show as much

I'm watching this Ayanna video, ***** is lying. She's shaking, voice cracking, hesitating. You can tell she's lying. Tragic that women out here making **** up like this for money, disgusting. One second nothing happens on the dance floor, the next it was a little kiss but not full on fellatio. Then can't remember if they ****ed again or just that one night, looks away to think. Yeah son, **** this broad.

Man...I was sitting there shaking my head listening to her.
