Its true though.

Anything from that Jackson 5 era is instantly loved. Same when he switched it up and got cool.

Mike aint a better singer than Luther though.

Two things can be true.

But comparing MJ to Beyonce was stupid anyway. Aint that good of a singer, don't make that good of music, and the voice aint anything special.

If only she didn't hate herself and sleep in beds with little kids. Maybe you would like her then.

Top five Joe song for me

It's more so about what's pushed and promoted in music, who benefits and profits and who is harmed

Just like you'll see chicks on the dance floor dancing and repeating the most misogynistic lyrics and then wonder why would they listen to that.

The same goes for us and how it's promoting violence against other black men. And then we wonder why gangs are across the country. Why **** is getting crazier where people don't have regard for human life.

It's no longer black men are gods, beware of Yakub and devils. It's deliberate and much bigger than music.

Over the past year, George Floyd and Covid, same ******** in the music.

It is morally.

We really gon talk about what's moral or not in entertainment? R&B music can be morally wrong.

That ain't just start with Trap though. Westcoast gangster rap, NY drug dealer rap was pushed heavy. It was more balanced back then but it's too late to be talking about "hip hop is wrong". At this point, with all the information out there if kids are still doing what rappers (who don't even live their raps) are rapping about that's on their parents.

And we gotta stop acting like it's only black people doing crime and rap is the source of it.

and it's a cycle of poverty, lack of education, legal system, violence and it's beyond blame it on the parents. Because a lot of the parents are ****** up, so the kids shouldn't have a shot, huh?

As someone who listens to a lot of trap/drill today & someone who was also raised listening to 90's drug rap & west coast gangsta rap.... I will say that today's music gives a 95/5 balance at most. And the addition of IG & social media has only made this "lifestyle" even easier to copy & spread.

In regards to pete rocks actual post i think he's just talking about the actual music itself & the push for MAINSTREAM music to all sound similar. Interestingly enough i saw a clip of Cassidy today talking about how producers using these programs started to make Robotic sounding music. Almost like the sounds were too perfect & too formulaic.

We've heard the story of Craig Kallmans "formula" at Atlantic which includes using specific BPM's & sounds etc etc.. Again i don't think these are "new" to rap but these problem issues have continued to grow & worsen as the years progressed.

It is possible to see your parents mistakes and learn from that. The problem with us is we don't own anything. We don't own our image. There is no balance to show everyday black people working and providing. It's all the entertainment field. It's all what's on IG, beefs, reality TV. Even with social media we can put out whatever image we want and too many people choose to do dumb **** because it gets the most eyes.
