27 and 8th grade is a big reach but a few dudes who already graduated were definitely coming back picking chicks up. College aged dudes and HS age chicks wasn't a strange occurrence.
Even now Late teen/college aged chicks and late 20s,30s and 40s are a thing.
Chicks regardless of the age want guys who is ahead of them in some way which is generally an older guy. Weirdo dudes in every age group take advantage of that.

Damn that Jay and Beyonce thing is disheartening but I never truly looked at their age difference nor the start of their relationship.
Can't front if I dated a 19 year old at 31 I'd be cheating all kinds of crazy too.
This was a really good point that will probably be overlooked by the masses. It was so common place for girls to date older guys back then. People likely didn't bat an eye when Kellz pulled up.
As others have said age of consent is also vastly different across the country. Some spots it's 18 some spots it's like 16. Kellz probably took advantage of that strange grey area.
He is still a monster for sure, but I can't blame the industry or the public for not shaming dude into oblivion until recently. Collectively our society is just arriving at this point where this is extremely frowned upon by most if not all.
If we keeping it a buck child brides have been accepted far longer than frowned upon for most of human/ American history. Sadly the age of consent thing is still relatively new for our species.
With that said when you know better you should do better. I have no doubt Kellz couldve had the baddest of bad ones during his peak years, he'll probably even in his post chocolate factory days. Dude should've smartened up. He caught an unbelievable amount of passes and was still damn near kidnapping women and holding them away from their families. That dude needs to be locked away for sure. He had the resources to really ruin a lot of lives sadly.

In high school it was common knowledge a lot chicks dated dudes older.
Because guys their age are so "immature"

I remember them days vividly. I was the “hater” that used to always call them ****** lame. Girl on my street was in 9 th grade and some mid 20s dude in the candy red charger used to come pick her up. Had to be like 25.

Can't front I hated those older dudes that picked up the girls in my age range. It made it very hard to compete as a shorty. I remember hella girls dating college age dudes and beyond. I remember we'll known d boys pulling up with their cars candy painted with rims etc grabbing girls from my school. I knew once she had that **** there was no way she was ******* with my broke and on the bus ***.
Sadly a lot of young girls looked for that too. Plenty of my homegirls started hitting adult clubs at 16.
