Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Calling out when something looks funny ain’t “emotional” or “tearing down” …You choose to make public moves with with certain folks you gon hear bout, especially when you built some of your rep on talking down those same ppl you entertaining for obvious financial and attention reasons…Bet you Cube ain’t trippin , he wants the buzz

Some of y’all think these dudes should have a free pass forever on anything based off history, that ain’t how things work  …You build yourself up as one thing and contradict that ppl talk, if you don’t wanna hear nothing just wild out from jump so ppl don’t expect much and not surprised by what you do like a Kodak…NWA Cube would call what he doing right now lame af

Y’all do know that all these rappers and ball players vote Republican right? If someone ever hacks the system one day they’ll be exposed but they know we can’t see their votes.

99% of ppl with money will every time and it’s perfectly fine.

Also, Nas is doing the same thing with flooding the streets with music/work. The only difference is that he's doing it in Album format and not with Mixtapes. Work Ethic with alot of music flooding the streets will always put someone in winning position in music. Ive never seen anything different. Beans and State Property just didn't have the worth ethic to make alot of music at a fast pace, while staying out of trouble. That's the difference between having longevity in your career, or just being known for a specific time period.

and this isn't necessarily true. Because wanting the fans to miss you was something also.

but now too artist are similar so it's different. You're more easily replaceable.

Sade's released like 3 albums in 30 years and could still sell out around the world. Because her music isn't disposable.

If Rihanna put out an album next year people would care.

Most of them don’t even vote.

It's one thing to vote one way, it's another trying to influence people to vote that way or influencing them not to vote.

and like @Five said. Didn't Snoop say he didn't vote until he was like 50 years old? These dudes aren't going to their local polling precinct or voting absentee.
