Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

“I've lost so many relationships
(Tell me) Is it, just because I don't relate to ****?
Me I (me I) I hate ignorance so much
I'm prayin for ****** that didn't grow much
Maybe our whole generation was raised wrong
I'm only responsible for me, I gotta stay strong”

I wouldn’t expect any maturity from Drake…yo really be out here still trying to live like a young boy and appeal to em so that’s the music you gon get

Like he says “shout out to my exes” in real life, you gon get that 20 times on every project :lol

Like i said in other thread, Drake saying I got more money than you, so you can’t critique me is so corny. This is art, art is meant to be critiqued and this probably Drake’s worst project and the 1 rare time he rapped with his “peer” Cole, he got smoked!

Will smith energy, he know what Joe said is true and it hit home, so he got an easy target with Joe. Joe no where successful as Drake when it coming to rappinf obviously but him making that career change and becoming one of the most successful and first podcasters is something that should be applauded. Every celeb, company is trying to start a podcast but none have had the lasting power like Joe.

Crazy thing is Joe didnt even go in on the album, felt like he was holding back, and bigged up Drake for some of his past work

And to say all that Im OVO Hive and i’ll admit this man is outta pocket and been on a dud music streak for a bit now.

I think we can agree this the first album where the majority and even his fans are saying garbage, not sure which of these tracks even gonna stay Round for the charts, whole ovo camp confused on what to do

No doubt but drake ain't no fool. He knows his major demographic is women in their 20's and that's who he raps for. It's worked for 10+ years and he's not about to fix a formula that isn't broken. The fans will determine when its time for him to get off this and mature. Future is another one, homie out here 40+ still pushing toxic relationships and talking bout and percs and lean, bro should be burnt tf out still doing all that at his age. It's just music for me, I might turn up to their music but in really I'm just chillin staying out the way.

Someone a decade younger than drake is 27 this year lol

Which means that someone who’s 20-23 was barely in high school for like Views lol. They maybe remember “keke do you love me” but the generation that he had the Midas touch to is approaching or already in their 30’s

This idea that he has this stranglehold on the youth is outdated af

I don’t disagree but I was working late the night of his Atlanta show and a lot of the girls going into the arena were in college or single 30+ moms. Drake drops damn near every year, even for a youngin, he’s had like 4 albums since views that they know and love. Kai Cenat and yachty are drake stans in their early 20’s. I was a Jay-Z stan in middle school when dude was like 36.
