School me on different nike accounts

this is a lot of good info. I was always wondering why of the footlockers/finishlines/footaction/champs ect. don't get all the same shoes? The footlockerand finishline at my mall don't get any good shoes. Even though they are the store how come the shoes vary for store to store? thanks

well guess i gota come up with a better plan now if i want to start a shoe store.
i woulda been happy with a mom and pop style.

only few select stores in the US have a tier-0 account (not always necessarily)…but most stores u can tell what account they got from what shoes they got…

Except supreme, those snobs dont even have shoes on display half the time....i need a nike account for personal use

I've got a simple question here: how does all of this accounts business relate to large corporations, like FinishLine and Footlocker? Clearly they musthave some sort of account but what exactly defines what they get?

This is interesting. I've always noticed how "urban" stores in the mall have a certain category of Nikes, yet the Footaction, Footlocker, etc hadthe general trash that I could probably get on ebay for less than retail.

interesting . i wonder what kind of account the shop i go to near school has ...

alot of questions regarding how to get a nike account and so forth is answered on their nikebiz.com website. i suggest anyone interested in account informationcheck out that site and read what they have. if anyone has anymore info 0n tier45 i'm curious. this is the first time i heard of such an account, but wouldmake sense after seeing tier0 release shoes in random shops.

In no special order or anything...

1. SB (Nike Skateboarding)
2. Urban Energy
3. Indie Energy
3. Elite Energy (Current account type for Journeys and Urban O)
4. Lifestyle (LS)
5. JB (Jordan Brand)
6. Inline (General Mall type accounts. Also referred to as Tier 1)
7. Specialty Running
8. Quickstrike (not so much an account type but refers to allocation numbers)
9. NKE 6.0 (SB's little brother - found outside of skateshops too).
10. One Door (25 set up for 2007 AF1 anniversary)
11. Tier Zero (snobby elitist account for the most part. Think Supreme and Keith Huf's store)

That's all that I came up with for the 3 minutes I had to do this. Maybe some people can expand or comment.
and out of the wood work he comes.....long time bro....how is the fam and how is Colorado???

Is there somewhere you can look up a store to see what account they have? Or if anyone knows what account The Shoe Gallery in Miami has, that would be easier.Thanks.

lets say you decide to open a spot...nike gives you the lowest account which is urban i or indi .nike shows you the catalog on which shoes to

pick for your store. you get them and sell them everytime. you tell your nike rep that you want more limited sneakers so you pick them out and

also sell them very good. by now you nike rep nows what sell and does not sell around your area. and he upgrades you to a QS account...you

do the same thing on sales and he upgrades it . is this the way it works??????....ma adn my homie are planning toopen a boutique in dallas,tx

sicne theres like 2 i believe. can some confirm on that is how it works???

here's a question... undefeated just released the air max 1 "seersucker" rite... and its suppose to be a TZ (tier O) release.... so how come PYS(pick your shoes).com has them? im just lil bit confused.

great thead btw... most informative thing yet.

i doubt it was a tz if pickyourshoes has them...imo (not official in any way) just from observation, pickyourshoes has a broader nike account than most becausehe is an online store and caters to a larger market than a regular boutique...so they are able to pick from almost all accounts, except of course the hoh onlyor tz accounts...pickyourshoes is doing something right because they are still able to have prices under retail and are still probly selling to the wholeworld...which is amazing especially in these times...

anyone who is trying to get an account...its not going to be easy and even if u do get one, i bet they will start you out with low end models and make u workyour sales up before you can receive the better products like ams and special releases...dont just think ur gonna walk up to a rep show him ur business planand he's gonna throw you a teir zero or even an sb account...it takes a lot of time and planning before nike gives u their trust
