School Me On This Russia/Ukraine Kerfuffle

Bro.

This was tough by Lithuania.

I’m all for Asylum seekers and immigration but I 100% agree with them here.

Putin’s approval rating went up after the war in Ukraine now some of them are tying to flee? Na bro. Nope.

You have to take into consideration that the media is state ran. The approval rating isn't real, however, it has to appear so. They aren't going to show the real thing.

Yeah is the news even reliable cause they've been caught numerous times already spreading fake propaganda to their own people

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Russia annex occupied oblasts in Ukraine to place them under Russia's nuclear umbrella.

This is just Putin engaging in large scale historical revisionism. Can he point Germany on a 17th century map?

This whole exercise is just to drum up support among anti-western nation-states. This is why I don't think this annexation marks the end of Putin's endeavors in Ukraine (or anywhere he can reach western interests).

Ohh because Putin doesn’t try to destabilize Eastern European along with Russia since the 1600s? Yet most Eastern European peopel want to align with Western Europe and no Russia. When you’re a despot leader you can write your own history tho.

He had some okay/good/agreeable points about the West in that speech, but so much of it was so hypocritical it’s impossible to take him seriously.

his points aren't exactly applicable in the 21st century.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — After being encircled by Ukrainian forces, Russia pulled troops out Saturday from an eastern Ukrainian city that it had been using as a front-line hub. It was the latest victory for the Ukrainian counteroffensive that has humiliated and angered the Kremlin.

Russia’s withdrawal from Lyman complicates its internationally vilified declaration just a day earlier that it had annexed four regions of Ukraine — an area that includes Lyman. Taking the city paves the way for Ukrainian troops to potentially push further into land that Moscow now illegally claims as its own.

“The Ukrainian flag is already in Lyman, Donetsk region. Fighting is still going on there. But there is no trace of any pseudo-referendum there,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his nightly address Saturday.

500 soldiers killed a day for the past 7 days. Number hasn't dropped since Lyman got encircled and the pics are starting to come out.
Some progress in Kherson too apparently.
Very embarassing for Putin after the annexation. His bluff is actively been called out.

Wasn't all these billions being handed over to Ukraine supposed to be proactive in stopping further War that would cost us in the future
