Ska its been going on long enough...time to lock....

Denver Post -
The Nuggets have made no indication that they will actively shop Carmelo Anthony, but they will listen to offers, according to the Denver Post.

Because of his off the court problems and the luxury tax, Denver may be inclined to see what sort of package Anthony would yield.

And what position would he play point guard? center? That franchise is a disaster, first they steal it from Seattle, then they consider firing PJ Carleismowho has a horrendous team and didn't do a bad job, now they want Carmelo Anthony who plays the exact same position as their 2 best players and makes a tonof money.

But the latest estimates on the five-year package New York is prepared to formally put on the table fall in the $30 million range. Although that figure had been projected Wednesday by coaching sources to be even more "staggering," it's a level of annual compensation exceeded by only a few coaches in the game, such as Phil Jackson and recent retiree Pat Riley. ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher, quoting a source close to D'Antoni, reported on SportsCenter early Friday that D'Antoni is leaning toward taking the New York job. ESPN.com
What is NY thinking?

NO.

No way no how....

Keep this team the way it is. If anything get another body that won't stay hurt..(mhim)

Lakers don't need another scorer like that. Whether or not the Lakers win the championship, they probably just need some very, very minor additions. Theyhave a pretty complete team as it is. MAYBE some nice back-up big men. But my team needs that more so screw them.

D'Antoni > Mark Jackson

The Knicks, as is, just aren't built to be a half court set team. Or a defensive team.

Let 'em run with Lee, Balkman, Crawford, etc.

, Melo would be the worst thing that could happen to that Lakers team. Imagine a good boy like Kobe and the media-hog that is Carmelo. The chemistrywith LA would be unbalanced, and what would the Nuggets get in return? Gasol? No chance. LO? Nope. They wouldn't get much out of LA.

AI for Kidd makes WAY too much sense.

Thats easy.

Johnson >> D'Antoni

Avery had one of the best PG's in the game in Kidd, who's best in the open floor, and still put the clamps down on the Mavericks running.

Again, the Knicks current makeup, they're not a halfcourt team.

Avery would try and make them a halfcourt team. They just don't have the talent.

D'Antoni > Everybody out right now

He's a good fit in Chi Town or NY.

D'Antoni would rather come to Chicago. Unless the Bulls totally low ball him with an offer, I think he's coming here.

Me too.

But who knows, maybe this guy D'antoni is attracted to the big lights of NY.

Chicago has the athleticism that better suits his style of offense than the Knicks do, that's for sure.

if this guy walsh hires d'antoni, i hope he gets eaten up like the last 99 coaches we had.

If MD does go to NY they will be more "exciting" to watch but they will also be giving up a ton of points. If I am a Knicks fan I am more concernedwith MD inclination to coddle players (ahem AMare) and let them do their own thing. Very interesting time in the NBA for coaches, you have guys like Skilesmaking over 4 million a yr and MD rumored to make 6 million.

No lie when I heard about the Nuggets listening to offers for Melo, Charlotte was one of the first teams that I thought of. I can see Jordan making astrong push to get him.
