i'd have to say squaw, northstar, and kirkwood. you'll have a good time boarding, i guarantee that.
in that order?

I've been talking to a couple folks from Tahoe and they are saying it's cold enough to snow but Dry...They hope to have some deep snow by the end ofthis weekend...I hope so...I want to see some snow already. It's been a really cold and dry winter.

I'm planning on going up to Boreal in Mid Jan...can someone tell me where i can get some cheap lift tickets?

Also, are there any places where I can stay overnight that are inexpensive by Boreal? Someone please point me in the right direction. I'm having troublefinding spots in google. Appreciate it.

boreal : friday for college price discount $15 IIRC, snowbomb is the next best bet, then craigslist!

a place to stay near Boreal, search google for "truckee hotel"

and honestly, if you're just going to use it to sleep one or two nights, dont spend hella cash on it.
did some searching on orbits (hope this link works) http://www.orbitz.com/App...amp;lastPage=interstitial

good luck! Northstar here I come!!!! doing sunday and monday this weekend

If you dont mind driving 30 minutes in the morning,

you can stay in Reno at the Sands Regency Hotel for $30.00,

Its a crappy casino, but its cheap, and its not bad at all.

Craigslist is the way to go. Make sure you get the right tickets though. Sometimes there are restrictions so make sure you read the ads.

Any NTer own/test the GNU BTX board? I'm looking at buying either the Danny Kass or the Street board. Any feedback? Thanks

not really...the ice wasnt really that bad wasnt to hard to ride on..its just that they didnt fully groom it so there were ice balls or whatever everywhere butnothing too bad...almost his a pretty big one tho but luckily i avoided it haha or it wouldnt have been good

Came back from Northstar today,

Soft groomed snow every where. Most of the runs were not open, but the whole park was open.

I think they were $50.00

You probably aren't gonna make it there. I would say just don't go.

i just came from sugar bowl and it was amazing out there. started snowing too. there were a bunch of heads, but the wait to get on the lifts weren't long.

the bus trips via snowbomb are pretty legit. i paid 95 for the fare + lift ticket. they gave all passengers bagels, yogurt, and juice on the ride up.beforeleaving, we were given snacks and hot cocoa, and we stopped in loomis to get dinner (not complimentary). i would have enjoyed the bus ride more had these 2college kids sitting next to me decided not to talk the whole drive to sugar bowl, when everyone else was sleeping.

I will be staying on the North shore this coming weekend and riding at North Star on Saturday, Sunday and maybe a half day on Monday. I'm excited to get upthere and get some riding in! I will be shreddin' the same setup as last year since my gear is still VNDS

I can't really find a great deal on North Star lift tickets, I might just pick up the Sierra/Northstar double whammy since I can get it for 300, but Idon't like the blackout dates. Anyone have suggestions on lift ticket steals?
