So ridiculous man honestly. Why is one guy responsible for everything NT design related? Hats, shirts, banners etc. You really think Rajah was the only one capable of handling simple NT designs? There are so many other great and talented graphic designers and photographers on NT, to continue being hung up on ONE guy is lame. Thought this was a community? There was a dude on here who had one of the most popular hat designs on theclinkroom.com, Basis NY I believe is a NTer he has skills, Fongstarr is wicked on the Illustrator, The guy who makes Random Objects tees, 206 is great etc. I just did a personal drop for Larry Merchant of HBO Boxing. Yet we can't get hats off the ground cause of Rajah. A dude like Fongstarr could handle anything you throw at him with his eyes close and one hand on the trigger. C'mon Meth.
You'd have more credibility here if 1) you didn't whine about absolutely everything and 2) you didn't whine about absolutely everything because you're still tight about getting banned for insults so many times, which is nobody's fault but your own.
That we rely on Rajah for our merchandising doesn't mean that he's the only person in the universe who's capable of creating great designs. He was the lead on this project. He made all of the arrangements and got this thing done from start to finish. I didn't deal with anyone at Cap City myself. There's nobody on my contact list I can get in touch with to say, "hey, let's do another cap." I don't have the original design files, either.
It's easy to say, "well, just call up their store or something and ask to talk to whoever's in charge then. Figure it out. I don't care. Just do it." It's no skin off your back. At the moment, we have more pressing matters to attend to. People are interested in NikeTalk merch because they love NikeTalk. The site is the basis of everything we do here and when it's not performing the way it should be, that takes precedence - and I think 99.9% of our users would agree with that.
Having someone outside the staff handle the design work is one thing, but having someone outside the staff handle all the production and distribution arrangements isn't going to happen. You don't just say, "oh yeah, people want caps so whoever wants to make stuff with our logos go ahead and do it... and, if you can, see if you can raise some money for charity while you're at it." We have to be willing to trust somebody with the integrity of the community, and that's not something any of us should take lightly.
