I'm curious why Gyllenhaal took this Mysterio role
He could be the lead superhero in his own film

Maybe he just wanted a supporting role
Probably doesn't want to be locked down for multiple movies.

A bit safer to choose a villain role. In and out.

Son has been tenative about jumping in to the superhero game ever since Prince of Persia flopped. Doesn't even do action movies when he could flourish there.

He has considered stuff earlier and was always rumored to be in these movies.

MORBIUS: Jared Leto-Led Spider-Man Spinoff Adds DOCTOR WHO Star Matt Smith In A Major Role

Variety is reporting that Primetime Emmy-nominee Matt Smith has entered final negotiations with Sony Pictures to join their upcoming Spider-Man universe spinoff, Morbius, which will star Academy Award-winner Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049; Suicide Squad) in the title role as Dr. Michael Morbius.

Details on his role are being kept under wraps for now, but the report does describe it as major, so there is a possibility he could be playing the primary antagonist, although it may be a while before fans get any sort of confirmation from the studio.

Morbius, the upcoming Spider-Man spinoff, will open in theaters worldwide on July 31, 2020. Daniel Espinosa is directing with a script from Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Academy Award-winner Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049) will star as the titular vampire while Adria Arjona (Triple Frontier) will play Martine Bancroft and Matt Smith (Star Wars: Episode IX) was recently cast in an undisclosed role.

As for Tom Hardy's Venom sequel, there's no official release date set just yet, but Deadline believes the October 2, 2020 date Sony had previously reserved for a Marvel film has indeed been booked for the eagerly awaited follow-up. The first film grossed over $885.8 million worldwide ($213.5M domestic; $642.2M foreign) on a modest $100 million production budget, so it's understandable the studio wants to once again take advantage of that fall release window.

I spent some time this weekend to watch Spider-Man: Enter the Spiderverse and I was not disappointed at all. I swore that Noir was Ron Swanson for the longest time until i saw the end credit.

I give the movie 5/5, top 5 Marvel CBM of all time. Top spider-man movie of all time. Dont @ me.
