I'm sorry but I don't know how any of you are naming those Kings and Blazers teams. Yeah they had a great combination of talent, but they are more like the hawks than the Heat. I mean none of those guys would ever be argued to be the best at their position at that time. Weber as the best player? I mean I wish any of those teams had beaten the lakers, but I can't call them "stacked"

I still maintain till this day if it wasn't for the fight, they would have won the championship that year.

without a doubt... they were the best team... they had just got done putting it on the defending world champion pistons, ben wallace got butt hurt and it all went downhill..

This team or the one a little earlier was really really fun and exciting to watch. I loved the team play and chemistry they had. I use to tell my buddies that the Phoenix teams today mimicked their style a little bit.

Damn Blazers, that series with the Lakers still pisses me off. I loved that team and the team that came after. They just didn't care enough...

gotta love how these dudes still have their panties in a bunch 8 years later.

best teams in the L don't become the first team in 20 years to lose a game 7 of the conference finals on their home floor.

best teams in the L don't need referee help to win. But yea, that Kings team was stacked....Didnt even have Peja for that series.

pretty much what I was gonna say but didn't wanna add to the bickering. Bottomline is, Lakers won. Kings choked big time in 02

I hate the arguing because its almost been a decade now
eek.gif
If it was recent I'd be all about a nice debate, but the series is literally history now

It is what it is. A good, pretty much classic playoff series. Somewhat controversial. Just two teams that gutted it out, and ended with one team rising to the occasion.
