Didn’t mind the first half of the movie, but the second half was a mess. People were literally laughing at “that” Kylo & Rey scene. I would’ve liked it a lot more if the powers made more sense-not that they’re bad (the lightsaber transfer was :pimp: ) but I was just confused as to where they’re learning these new powers from since neither they nor their masters were able to do these before. It just felt like every time there was a critical situation, a new power conveniently emerged to resolve it.

Overall it’s not as bad as the second one; it was entertaining enough to kill a boring Thursday night.

Yeah the new powers started to become a little out of hand. Overall still enjoyed it. Once spoilers are lifted can talk more. Up in the air with this or the force awakens being better. But still this trilogy was everywhere. Original>Prequels>New

Palps literally saying she was his granddaughter and Ben was the grandson of Skywalker and they had a crazy bond rarely seen was a good enough explanation to me and I’m fine with it.

I mean, you realize at the end of the movie that her first scene of the movie was literally Rey trying to contact all the force spirits, not Finn and Poe. Add what Yoda said in TLJ about how Rey has all the books to learn everything she needs too. And on top of that, Luke the gawd got Leia to her final night of Jedi training and then she eventually trained Rey. Even for a Mary Sue, I’ve gotta believe it’s plausible that she’s at least learned a new move or two. I mean Jedi’s can do double jumps in video games, do force push ground landings, and run on walls and she couldn’t do those:lol:

I thought the force healing was built up nicely, as far as a new movie power. And I saw this before the new episode of The Mando and even then, I was still cool with it.

Are we lifting spoilers now? Let's go then.

I liked the Force healing tie in. I watched Chapter 7 after RoS, but it still didn't seem odd cuz we had seen Baby Yoda attempt it.
Luke and Leia training... that was all CGI + lookalikes, right? I tried to look for Sebastian Stan's name in the creds!
Also... Chewie's cries always get me. :frown: But say what you want, I really liked that moment for him at the very end.

Palpatine with his BS force unleashed powers though. Question why is throne room is still intact after all these years but I can forgive it
Brought back the Sith. Been missing that this trilogy.
Luke, Leia training finally much deserved. Finn was much better this episode although poor guy never got to tell Rey

-Han is apparently a jedi with that stunt he pulled
-Kylo never physically interacts with Leia in the whole trilogy. You know, the reason why he's "special" in the first place.
-But then again he can't be that special if his ******* Grandfather is talking to Rey and not him
-They would rather Rey get with the kidnapping mass murderer than the black guy.

I'm really bout to let the choppa sing on this one. This was another level of disrespect

lamekilla lamekilla pretty sure that was just a memory, or a figment of Kylo's imagination.

Wedge Antilles though...:pimp:

I enjoyed it, definitely have to see it again. Was a lot of fan service (nostalgia) that I felt may have been forced in there, but I still liked it for the most part. Just a few things I would change:

The whole thing with Hux, how easily Palpatine was defeated (I wanted a battle between him, Rey and Ben) ala Sidiious, Maul, Opress, and a few other things here and there. I went into with no expectations and enjoyed it. Babu Frik was lit though.

Yeah like forreal Finn was gonna tell her he loved her but then nah Rey and kylo get smiley kissy time

But WHY Han when his mother...a force user....the daughter of the greatest force user ever (before this trilogy apparently)....whom he has NEVER SHARED THE SCREEN WITH....is not only an option but a necessary one at that. Like what the **** was this movie??

Rey's whole journey is about finding out and accepting who she is. So what does she do when she finally find out who she is and her family history........

She takes someone else's last name.

So you'll make Rey a Skywalker in every sense except for name, only to have her take the name anyway.

LOL

star wars was cool, watched it with the fam at the el capitan theater. got the freebies such as the star wars popcorn tumbler and drinks and the poster

wouldnt pay to watch it again though :lol glad we watched it for free. i'll wait for it on disney+

Obviously they would have preferred a scene with Kylo and Leia, but Carrie Fisher is dead and not available to film it.

So you'll use what ever left over scenes and sorcery you can conjure up to have EVEN MORE Rey and Leia scenes....am I right?

I don't know how to tell you this but Friendzone Finn was always destined to be just that. That was obvious since even early on into TFA and pretty much cemented in TLJ. Not sure what you were expecting to come out of this last movie.

You wanna talk disrespectful? At least she gave him a hug and not a pat on the back like he gave Rose after the stunt she pulled at the end of the last movie. Should've just called her buddy too:lol

The fake leak everybody was telling me to believe last month

"The Millenium Falcon gets blown up. Leia, Lando, Chewie, C3PO, and R2D2 die."

Same leak had Palpatine shooting lightening into the sky and destroying ships. Wouldn't be surprised if that scene is on the cutting room floor.

I honestly was like "oh ****, he's really about to pull off Order 67". Glad that didn't happen. Wedge ain't come back just for that to happen:lol

yo I was dying when that happened. He low key just blew by her and said no we will and pat her on the back. But you can’t leave it to mystery what he was going to say to her. That’s classic JJ right there.

Apparently the force skips a generation. Because Palpatine has a grandchild that is the strongest in the galaxy and yet his son was apparently a drunk who couldn't even evade random henchmen.....
