Idk about that but just seems that Hollywood in general seems to be targeting women more.
Rey + Wonder Woman = $$$ these days for little girls. My daughter included.

I think so.Just curious, in your neighborhoods, around your kids, neieces, etc. has there been a influx of girls into Star Wars compared to the past?
These commercials make it seems like that’s the case.
JayPesos is the biggest Star Wars fan on NT and made it clear that he doesn't like TLJ yet CP been treatin' him like Deebo and ain't said a peep to him when he come around.
Lame posts his gripes and CP continues going at his neck over and over again with corny name calling and this baseless "group think" narrative.
It's plenty of dudes in here who've voiced their displeasure with the movie but he's not even defending the movie at this point, he only has one real agenda. Coming off real insecure brah
The comparison doesn't line up to me.
Rey admits this in the movie. It isn't told to her. This is something she knew deep down.
Now can JJ bring some hacky twist to dismiss that and flip the themes on their head and say all that destiny **** matters, sure, but I don't see the comparison.
By Obi-Wan's view, Vader did "kill" Anakin. At least the Anakin he knew. The Anakin he knew wasn't a Sith. The your pops was killed is just additional information to add to Luke's situation of being an orphan raised by his "uncle". It adds to Luke's grudge against Vader. That's why it sets up the twist so well.
In the scenario of TLJ, Rey is admitting something she knows to be true. What Kylo says to her is akin to what Vader says to Luke. This isn't like Kylo informing Rey of new info.
Plus that lines up and is product of theme about ignoring your past and making your own destiny not being ruled by something preset.
Besides at this point, who could Rey's parents be that it would even matter in IX? Han is dead. Luke is dead. Carrie Fisher is dead so Leia is basically dead or shelved.
We gonna trot out Lando for a twist?
There's no depth to Luke being her father now with Luke being dead unless the mother is gonna suddenly appear. There's no depth at all to Han and/or Leia being the parents cuz she met Han and nothing, then he died so there's not even a reunion. Even worse with Leia. There's nothing to Kylo and Rey being siblings given how far things have progressed in TLJ. The time for that revelation has passed.
Naw. You are just following along. You said point blank you enjoyed it, now are following along skewering it. Without rewatching it or anything to change your mind. That is groupthink. *Shrugs*
Are you team Zo yet? I've done a terrible job of keeping up on the team thread

That might be because I don't have an issue with Jay's opinion.
Lame and I have bantered for 2 years on Rey's lineage and I told him to soften his expectation, he didn't, and he went from hyping this film as "poetic" to trashing this film as pathetic, all cuz he ain't get what he wanted.
Also, the "groupthink" is Zik, who has changed his opinion since posting his initial positive review, I have not once labeled Lame as a groupthink member.
I have no need to defend the film. I enjoyed it. Many others have as well. Some, like Jay, didn't, and have valid reasoning behind. Some, such as Lame, are scorned and lashing out cuz Rey isn't a Skywalker. Jay didn't put himself in that position.
Is that valid enough for you, or would you like to proofread my posts before I submit them to make sure I include everyone?
I have never seen a film be talked about like how this is. This is crazy.
I didn’t think it was the best, but not the worst either
I still do t get those early reviews, though.
Talking about, “I can’t believe this film was made”
Empire is the only one better than the last Jedi.
A New hope....story is basically "farm boy finds out he is special and has to save the princess and the galaxy.
The visuals...fight scenes....spaceship scenes...acting....etc. far better in the last Jedi.
I don't think that's arguable. The childhood in cats will never accept that tho.
Return of the Jedi had a strong opening sequence but was bogged down in the middle. And ewoks.
Also yall know damb well if they never introduced those force ghosts in Rotj and did that NOW cats would be calling that stupid as hell.
Empire is superior for many reasons however.
Even down to the lighting and cinematography ( cloud city is a great example). Acting is more memorable. Best begining sequence. Actual lightsaber duel (most iconic scene in star wars).
Oh and btw. Cats saying snoke had a stupid death.
BOBBA FETT??????
You're insinuating that TLJ is better than A New Hope?
By the way I was born in the 90s and therefore ANH and the rest of the OT have no nostalgia value for me
I've seen this pic, like , 3 times in here already. Why yall keep reposting this? That Kathleen agenda
But TLJ is easily the worst Star Wars film
