Yep.for those who count their macros, do you guys use the IIFYM calculator?
As you can see from the following Poundstone video, it's a pretty awkward movement even when pros are doing it. I don't see why it needs to be taught in a beginning Crossfit class.

kteezy - sorry for my ignorance but why do you have to join a separate gym to work on freeweights? can't you just rig stuff up in your gym? bench + power rack and you're good. no need to do a ton of brosplit iso work.

See in theory it sounds great, but I find that I feel a lot less athletic and I feel a lot less satisfied when I eat low quality foods even in limited qualities. I don't understand how people stay full and satiated, let alone feel healthy while doing it.Yep.
IIFYM is golden. Eating pretty much whatever I want. As long as I count my calories and hit macros it's enjoyable as opposed to a strict clean diet

I don;t think it's being endorse as a particularly "safe" lift; it's a necessary part of strongman competitions though. Like most sports, there are some less safe aspects of the sport.That exercise looks like such a horrible idea. Lift the weight halfway, then rest a 400lb weight on your stomach while changing grip to then finish the clean and press it.
Don't care how many experts endorse it, it doesn't make any sense to be resting hundreds of weight on your stomach.
Are you allowed to switch boxes or is that like cheating on your gf in the Crossfit world?I did it mostly for my wife....blink allows you to bring a guest, so I can only go with her, she wants to add 45mins of cardio on the treadmill everyday....so I just tag along and use whatever I can at the gym....
Also I can't just walk into my box at any time....they have a schedule....although I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to stay extra time to work on lifts, but I don't want to be an inconvenience to the coaches.
What do you need dumbbells for that Crossfit classes don't suffice though?I figure, dumbells should suffice....I can squat at the box..

Yo TJ's isn't even that expensive. I feel like my bills there always come out to a lot less than I expected. Exact opposite for WFM.
