STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

repped

do you get the double rich chocolate or the milk chocolate

hows the taste, and whats up with the kidney failure. i plan on drinking 2 shakes a day

also how much do you pay

sorry for all the questions im new too taking protein in powder form
I'm pretty sure I got double chocolate, don't really remember. Allmax is great tasting but the price point is up there. Canadian retail is probably $100+ for 5lbs

Not too sure the scientific facts behind having kidney problems if you don't drink a lot of water after ingesting protein powder, but all I know is you need to be drinking A LOT lol

Google it my dude

isoflex is expensive. the mint chocolate and pb chocolate are the best flavors out of the ones i tried. it has a very high % of protein per scoop. i currently get about 20 grams of protein per day from powder right now. after reading about giant sports having their protein test results at half of the label claims, pretty much makes me even more picky about what few companies i'll buy protein from.

did anyone else see this?

1. idk what beta espn is.  but its the clip about steve wetherford the punter on the giants.  Dude is super cut up

2. He takes like 18 pills a day? WTH?  I take 3 normally

I'm probably at about 8 a day
plus creatine
I don't see 18 as excessive at all

Hey NT fit fam...I'm confused in my gym life and need some guidance/help. Some bg info....I've been lifting for a little over 3 years and here's where I'm at now (I'm 5'8, 150 lbs currently

11-15-11 (5 months into working out) 120 lbs., 4-29-13, 6-18-13, 11-4-14 (post workout today)

Yea, I should be bigger than what I am currently, but I've been through a bunch of injuries in the last 3 years (sprained ankles, fractured right ankle, broken fingers, herniated disc) that have got in the way and would basically have to start from square 1 every time. My original goal was to get as big and strong as possible till March of next year (bulk to 170/175) with no sports/cardio and then cut down to 160 to get ready for summer, but I can't seem to make up my mind of what I want to focus on or how to approach my goal. I love playing basketball and I do want to get better at the sport, but I don't know how I can do both at the same time and look "good" without sacrificing either aesthetics or basketball. I see players such as LBJ, Westbrook, and D Wade, (even Steve Weatherford from the New York Giants) and get pissed off because they play basketball AND have a solid body....imo, of course...and I try to figure out how they do it, but I just have no idea. Any advice/workouts that can lead me in the right direction of my goal?

*PS: I do track my macros.

TLDR: Want to be aesthetic and play basketball but don't know how to manage the 2 and need help.

Its all diet man. Those guys dont just workout hard but their diet is managed very well. All those guys have super high metabolisms and need a lot of calories to keep their bodies in tip top shape. You think Bron could keep his muscles if he didnt eat properly? Hell nah. Bron is a pretty lean guy, hes not big at all.

If you arent getting the results you want, check your diet first, then tweak it according to your goals. Since its winter, bulk now then cut at spring. Even 500 cal ovrr maintenance would be fine. Freedieting.com has a calculator to determine calorie needs. I assume maintenance for you would be around 2400 cals (assuming you workout 3-4 times a week). So around 2800-3000 cals would be your bulk calorie goal.

In the spring do a slow cut at 2000-2200 cals.

Its all diet and consistency bruh.

Yeah man if you're not taking at least 10 pills a day and eating 6-8 meals then your probably not making gainz.

Also meal timing is very important, you must eat at least 12-14 minutes after lifting or your gainz for the day are lost.

Don't even get me started on the importance of intra BCAAs and pre workout.

0 pill gang right here.

Pop a half a caffeine pill sometimes pre workout.

Protein maybe twice a week.

Maybe if I took a bunch of supps I could break 3 plates on bench. Oh well.

I take multi, fish oil, vitamin D, lysine. Only because i'm cutting, and wanna keep my immune system in shape during the winter.

I am taking mutl and fish oil. Still need to cut some more from 184 to 181 for the winter. Still have some fat I need to shape up. Going to hit the gym after balling

The first time I took multi-vitmains, I was freaking out cuz my piss was neon yellow like gatorade

For my heavy squatters and deadlifters, do you suggest I use a belt? I hit 295 on conventional today and feel like I can go heavier but I dont wanna join snap city

It got to a point for me where i felt much safer using a belt to keep form intact.

I'd rec it.
