STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

More power to you, didn't eem wanna go to work.

:lol My girl looked at me and said I was crazy....told her to go back to sleep. Only thing I won't run in is snow or in extreme heat. Other than that, I'm outside getting it in. Treadmill is an absolute last resort for me.

IT'S HERE!

ALL ADVICE, OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!

fouseyFITNESS!

iLLest!
iLLest, I am more than sure you are a humble guy...as I can see in your post.  But, I do want to be honest with you about the video.  I am no body builder but I am a person of interest and workout just as hard as any other person in this thread.

First, your video TO ME, comes off as if you are a douchebag (laughing).  The reason why I said that is because you didn't have any structure in your video....I found it to be a contradiction. You talk about subscribing to Kai Greene, but there was very little focus on technique and form. What you talked, and what you have shown, are two different things. Looks as if you just showing off.

Second, you were all over the place.  I know this is your first video but you were talking about upcoming videos in the course of you trying to speak on your chest and tri's workout.  Stick to the script.

Thirdly, I would think you should provide a proper way of doing your lifting (the way that you speak of in the video) instead of saying "I know, I know" I should do this and do that.  You should actually take your time and show the people what you're doing.

A couple of suggestions...I am more than sure we know steroids are bad and shouldn't be used.  I doubt that I would want to see a whole video on that. However, I would love to see more of your workouts, more suggestions on the different type of workouts you are doing. Videos on your recipes...Take the video making to your home. Show tips on little things you do at home (Push ups, sit ups, wall climb, planks)

Do a video on your IF, and what you do to prepare for this.  Also, a video on your diet and supplements.  I would love to hear a story of why you're working out...your motivation, your routine on the weekends. ETC.

I will say you have done way more by posting the video but please if you do your videos...DO THEM CORRECTLY... Keep up the good work...I am working to gain lean muscles and I see you done it. I WANT TO SEE A VIDEO ON THAT, TOO.

i should do legs today...but in my heart, i really want to do my chest again lol. i just love working it so much. but i really should do legs. Arg! Decisions, decisions!

Bi/Tri's yesterday. Each rep slow, each rep stretched and contracted. Squeeeeze :hat

My arms haven't felt this sore in months. I'm sure Kai Green wasn't the first person to talk about those lifting methods, but man am I still happy about seeing that video a couple weeks ago. My workouts have been amazing. It's been so much more exciting getting up early to go to the gym, because I know that my workout isn't about to be wasted. I'm lowering weights, not caring about others, focusing on form and hitting every rep properly. And man...what a burn with every muscle!!

Arms were sore as hell today but I still did shoulders. No pre workout sups for me,
I'm with the people who say its all in your head. Occasionally ill have a cup of coffee if I didn't sleep well...but for the most part a splash of cold water on my face, a bowl of oatmeal and peanut butter...then I'm good to go.

Once I actually do my first set at the gym and my bloods flowing, I fully wake up and get Into it.

It's why I tell my friends no explode and all that is cool...but you don't need it. You really don't. I promise the hardest part is leaving your house...get to the gym, stretch and do a warm up set or two...and You'll be ready to hit them weights hard!! :hat

My shoulder workout today:

3 sets seated dumbbell press
3 sets heavy shrugs
3 sets standing barbell military press
3 sets dumbbell raises? I'm not sure what they are called, but I slowly lift the weights up from my hip up to my head and back down. Really burns the shoulder.

Feeling great at work right now, yesterday's arm workout soreness combined with today's shoulder pump got me feelin like Rambo at work. :hat (Even though I look nothing like) :lol

Have a great day guys.
Remember to prioritize form over weight. It's only been a few weeks and its already made me feel stronger than I had felt in months with higher weights and weak form. :hat

side lateral raise. or front lateral raise, how ever you had it positioned.

and yes, the slow intense stretch and contractions make a world of difference in productivity.

Strengthening my shoulder (front, side, bent over raises) was the best thing I could do for my bench. Failure on the bench usually comes from shoulders giving out, not the chest.

I'm gonna order some ON Gold Standard Protein for me to have after my workouts.

What flavor do you guys recommend?

I want something that I won't find disgusting after drinking it for a few days.. or after drinking it one time lol

Can never go wrong with Chocolate protein shakes.

Chocolate would be the safest route. I'm using cake batter and I enjoy it.

I haven't had it, but I have heard good things about it as far as quality goes.

So I'm not really expecting it to taste good. I just want the best tasting one lol

Whats the optimal distribution of body part exercises within the week? Like is there a guideline of what body parts should go together for the day? Im trying to get back in shape and I want to plot my week, with Sunday as my rest day.

Thanks!

I was thinking I would probably like the vanilla the most. I may just buy 1 vanilla tub and 1 chocolate tub. It seems like I can't really go wrong with those two!

I don't believe there is, others may think different.

nope not really any set setups. Because of time constraints and convenience, people opt to mix things together, i.e back/bi's & chest/tri's, just doing that can take a 3 day workout and shave it to 2. But it's really all prerogative.

Of course, being in the UK ...I don't really have much choice ...it's like the damn North pole over here at the moment!

I used to do chest and triceps together, but then my tris would always be dead after my chest workout. I'm working out at home right now, so my equipment is limited. My schedule right now is:

Chest
Biceps/forearms/squats
Back
Shoulders/triceps/squats

Abs 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off
Cardio 3x a week, distance 2-4 miles

Currently at 228 down from 266. Trying to be at 215 by my birthday Feb 27

Lifting 2x a week cardio almost everyday plus BJJ 3-4x a week. If I keep my diet in check I'll do it!!

Thank you for the replies.

Another question. How many exercises (and sets) do I need per body part If Im trying to cut and lose weight?

if you're trying to cut and lose weight, all of that can be accomplished in the kitchen.
